What do you think? If we go with Lexie do we call her Alexis?

I'm not overly keen on either, but Lydia is much less popular than Lexie now, I think, so I'd go for that. I prefer Lexie to be a nn for something. My niece is Alexia. Alexis is quite nice.

Mum1369 · 15/12/2010 12:42

I prefer Lexie (Alexa ?) Alexis is nice too - I did have Alexa (Lexie) down for my last one - which turned out to be a Ben Wink

LouCracker · 15/12/2010 12:52

I don't like either of them but out of the two Lexie. Really dislike Lydia.

MardyQuickFollowThatStar · 15/12/2010 12:52

I prefer Lydia. Good classic name.

DorisIsAPinkDragon · 15/12/2010 12:53

I have a lydia and love it, people generally respond very well to it.

only had a couple of Hmm looks when she was first born.

lilly13 · 15/12/2010 14:59

Lexie is a NN for Alexis or Alexandra. It is not a full name. I like both long forms. Lydia is very nice, too.

KenDoddsDadsDogEatsTinsel · 15/12/2010 15:03

Lydia. Unless Alexis or Alexandra as Lexie is always a nickname to me.

Housewife2010 · 15/12/2010 15:11

Definitely Lydia. It can be abbreviated to Liddie. I know a lovely 3 year old Liddie.

ShoppingDays · 15/12/2010 17:49

Lydia.

I like Alexandra but not Lexie.

RockinRobinBird · 15/12/2010 18:20

Don't like Lexie at all, it's a nickname. This baby will be Lydia if it's a girl, it was runner up for dd.

BelligerentYhoULE · 15/12/2010 19:20

Love Lydia; hate Lexie. Also hate Alex, Alexis, Alexandra, sorry.

Rhubarbgarden · 15/12/2010 19:57

Lydia

Baublepink · 15/12/2010 20:13

Love Alexis with Lexie as a nn, definitely don't just call her Lexie as her main name. Alexis is powerful, feminine and glamourous.

mummydarlingsausage · 15/12/2010 21:21

Lydia lovely. Really dislike Lexie.

BarbieLovesKen · 15/12/2010 21:37

Lydia is beautiful.

Really, really dislike Lexie.

cuppatino · 15/12/2010 21:42

Lexie as in sexie lexie? Dreadful.

Lydia is beautiful.

They're completely different types of names, I think. Lydia is classic (and nicer) and Lexie is a bit WAGish

sharbie · 15/12/2010 22:35

what said said Smile- lexie cd be a bit chav

OsbegaEthewulf · 15/12/2010 22:39

Lydia is fab name, 'tis one of mine. Really don't like Lexie at all

kreecherlivesupstairs · 16/12/2010 05:26

Lydia is what I wanted DD to be called. She isn't. Lovely lovely lovely name.
Lexie no.

diddl · 16/12/2010 09:08

Lydia.

EauRudolph · 16/12/2010 09:12

Love Lydia, don't like Lexie.

KittyTwoShoes · 16/12/2010 11:43

Love Lydia - it was on my parents' shortlist for me :o

Not a fan of Lexie, though I agree with the others that Alexandra is nice.

LittleYellowTeapot · 16/12/2010 12:49

I'm not keen on Lexie but I like Alexa and Alexandra.

I quite like Lydia....could be a grower.

LadyOfTheFlowers · 16/12/2010 12:51

Lydia certainly over Lexie.
