Tabitha, Rosina or Jemima?

Tabitha, Rosina or Jemima?

One of them is an old family name and also the only one I can get DH to agree to.

Middle name will probably be Elsie, also family name.

Just for fun (as I can't get DH to budge Xmas Grin), which one do you prefer? We already have an Eliza.

To me, only Tabitha goes with Elsie.

RockinRobinBird · 08/12/2010 21:30

Love Rosina. You never hear it now but it's a beautiful name.

zonkin · 08/12/2010 21:31

Fuchzia · 08/12/2010 21:31

Tabitha is a cat
Jemima is a doll from Playschool
Rosina is a mde-up name

Sorry, you did ask :)

Pinner35 · 08/12/2010 21:54

I love love love Jemima.....would have liked it for either of my DD's but DH was having none of it.

NotAnotherNewNappy · 08/12/2010 21:58

That's alright greythorne, I'm pretty thick skinned. Surprised you didn't point out that Jemima is also a duck.

Rosina is not made up but it's a while since it's been in the charts. I think it was reasonably popular in the 1800 and very early 1900s.

i had forgotten jemima puddleduck
good point
have you thought of Tiggy? Sounds like it might be your cup of tea

Horton · 08/12/2010 22:08

Love all of them. I have a Tabitha so would have chosen that, but Jemima was also on my shortlist. Rosina is very pretty but I probably wouldn't choose it myself. Rosa?

JustDoMyLippyThenWeWillGo · 08/12/2010 22:10

Tabitha. Love it.

LynetteScavo · 08/12/2010 22:13

I prefer Jemima.

Rosina is awful, sorry!

Tabitha is nice (for want of a better word)

RockinRobinBird · 08/12/2010 22:13

Yes the Rosina I know of was knocking around in about 1795 :)

I really like it.
