First time I've seen it spelt like that!
Know a honey but never met a hunni!

Feeling the need to defend Chavi-Rose here... Wikipedia says that the term Chav became widespread in 2005 - if its the little girl I am thinking of (there surely can't be more than one?) she would be about 7 or 8 now? Presumably the parents would have realised had they thought to google the name beforehand - or asked the help of the mighty Mumsnet Wink. FWIW, Rose is actually her middle name - it was hyphenated when she started school. As you say, poor little girl Sad

None so bad as Toffee

EricNorthmansMistress · 18/11/2010 20:51

My bro knows a lad named Strange. They are a big family and have a surname that sounds extra odd as it's an adjective/noun that isn't very flattering.

serin · 20/11/2010 21:35

Kiwi, Cruz used to be a popular Christian name.

All the places called Santa Cruz are named after Saint Cruz.

evamummy · 20/11/2010 21:38

"I used to teach a girl called Nadia, so at sports day her dad used to shout 'Go Nads!"

Sorry, but is funny/odd with Nadia or Nads Confused?

serin · 20/11/2010 21:42

"Gonads"

otherwise known as the dogs bollox.

evamummy · 20/11/2010 22:09

Oh, I see. Thanks serin Smile.

Rach109 · 20/11/2010 23:21

I just snorted @ Gonads! lol

I know of a Honey Snow Hmm

Clary · 20/11/2010 23:24

Lol @ Dallas homage MissEllie!

I too know a Honey but at least that's how you spell th eword...

I know sisters called Destinee, Libertee and Harmonee (spelled like that).

They are lovely girls tho!

freerangeeggs · 21/11/2010 17:26

SummerRain, I see your AJ and raise you a BJ.

Also an A-Jay and an Ayn-jil

emptyshell · 21/11/2010 17:34

I've come across a BJ and numerous A-Jays.

Also a Storm... was definitely an apt name... a Phoenix and assorted Angels who were anything BUT! Heaven-Leigh... also anything but!

Blessing... whom I have to admit I'd mentally dubbed Curse by about 10am.

Mercedes and Porsche - in the same class.

Jak and Jaimz... Stevie-Jay... for a girl. Heard of a Chlamydia but I'm scepical of that one. No doubt it's coming if it hasn't arrived already.

Few things surprise me anymore.

Went to school with an Autumn-Rose who had a sister named Ashley-Cloud.

emptyshell · 21/11/2010 17:36

Oh and came across my first Sawyer (would have been born about the time Lost hit with a vengeance) the other day!

There was a Tinkerbelle in our local paper.

Also a Snow White (White was her surname).

typsical · 21/11/2010 23:12

I heard of a boy called Everton... Middle name Blue! Seriously.

SirBoobAlot · 22/11/2010 00:01

I find these hilarious and horrifying in equal measures.

Atomant · 22/11/2010 00:04

There was a story (local topical story about pies or something) in the Metro the other day had a photo of a baby called Jaxxonn.... What is it with completely made up words/names?

colditz · 22/11/2010 00:31

I know a man called Greenfield.

MyCatJeremy · 22/11/2010 17:51

There are worse names, I know a little girl called Heavenly Blu, a terrible name to saddle a child with! I hate the term chav but all parents I know that seem to fit the term call there children a surname type name (like Riley, Taylor or Morgan).

logi · 22/11/2010 20:48

My grown up son is called Cruz.

I love all these unusual names! 'Go nads' made me weep with laughter, thanks sleepysox. And then evamummy not getting it made me howl!
