Anyone said Edgar yet?

emmyloo2 · 22/10/2010 11:04

Edward or George for sure.

The rest are nice although some like Hugo, Felix, Magnus are maybe a little "done". I still like them though. Would not go with Marmaduke because I think it's just cruel. Caspar is only just ok, but definitely the name of a ghost.

Edward and George are both gorgeous though.

LadyInPink · 22/10/2010 13:13

How about Jasper/Jaspar?

BearBear1981 · 22/10/2010 13:20

I love Jasper but I know one who is a bit of a druggy drop out. Edgar is too lumpy somehow. There was a butler in a Disney film called Edgar was is 101 Dalmations?...

Edging towards Hugo but still not sure. So easy with girls names, boys are impossible!!!!!

(The Aristocats, I think.)

Nicholas
Gregory
Fabian
Peter
William
Christian
Austin
Owen

Fergus is also Irish, and a lovely name anywhere, imo. Hamish is a bit more Scottish in flavour, but also a solid, strong name.

BearBear... Clapham Brigade..brilliant. I love it when it's said as it is?!?! These aren't posh names, just classic and timeless.

I agree with you on Harry. Whist a great name very 'done' now.

Love all your names..Marmaduke is very brave, go for it if you like it. I once knew Wink a Magnus...god he was stunning.

Friend mentioned Huckleberry the other day, quite out there but could work..! I love Lawrence, Kit and Orlando..!

Best of luck with the c/s..! I'm sure once you meet Miss or Master you will know 'it's' name. xx Grin

Hugo - really like it
Charles - possibly the most popular boys name in my area
Marmaduke - like a lot
Felix - love it, was almost DS's name
Caspar - nice
Maximilian - very popular but nice
Arthur - could be cool wih nn Artie/Art
George - very popular
Frederick - very popular
Edward - very popular
Magnus - brilliant

Rhubarbgarden · 22/10/2010 23:06

I met a gorgeous (adult) Magnus recently and thought what a fabulous name.

loobylu3 · 23/10/2010 15:43

Hugo- lovely
Charles- great, always classic
Marmaduke- er, no
Felix- fine- see below
Caspar- great but would have thought this would be popular with the Clapham brigade too (disclaimer- I don't know any Clapham yummy mummies, only responding to what the OP said)
Maximilian- not keen
Arthur- lovely
George- love it, classic
Frederick- nice but dislike Freddie
Edward- great, rising in popularity though
Magnus- fine

So, good classics which will always be fairly popular: Charles, Edward, George, Hugo, Frederick

Quite popular (perhaps a bit trendy) at present but v nice: Felix, Caspar, Arthur

Maybe you could use a less popular classic eg Peter, David, Lawrence, Patrick, Jonathan

Good luck with CS :)
