I know a couple of baby Paulines in Belgium.

sleepyhorse · 14/10/2010 09:32

Sorry I really don't like it

sparkleshine · 14/10/2010 09:35

ewwww. There are so many other lovely names out there. Why bring the ugly ones back?
Its my mums first name and she has gone by her middle name since childhood.

coatgate · 14/10/2010 09:36

No, No, No,

brimfull · 14/10/2010 09:42

I like it.
Paulina is nice as well.

BuntyPenfold · 14/10/2010 09:49

Polly is nicer.

NorkilyChallenged · 14/10/2010 09:51

No.
Just no.

SlaughteredSheep · 14/10/2010 09:55

As in Fowler? No.

chickentwizzler · 14/10/2010 10:25

Prefer Paula or Paulina

ninedragons · 14/10/2010 10:27

Up there with Beryl and Pam.

mopsyflopsy · 14/10/2010 10:29

Paulina is nicer imo.

Rockbird · 14/10/2010 10:31

Pauline makes me think of Pauline Quirke, who I absolutely adore...but I still couldn't use the name. :)

AllarmBells · 14/10/2010 10:31

Well to balance out Pauline Calf and Pauline Fowler, there's also Pauline Fossil.
I have no reason to like it...but for some reason I do.

CuppaMouldyBatBallsBrothJanice · 14/10/2010 10:31

Dinner lady. Bubble perm. Tabard.

deliciousdevilwoman · 14/10/2010 11:01

What Cuppa said!

cumbria81 · 14/10/2010 11:12

Makes me think of Ballet Shoes.

Sounds very dated. And not in a good way.

runmeragged · 14/10/2010 11:16

Pauline Fowler.

Knew someone teased over this at work. Don't do it.

Terrible, don't do it, just don't.

theagedparent · 14/10/2010 11:20

Awful

KnitterNotTwitter · 14/10/2010 11:21

My MIL is called Pauline and while she's lovely I would only ever use it as a second or third name....

Sunlightdances · 14/10/2010 13:57

Bunny - glad you said it! I immediately think of Pauline from the League of Gentlemen. Paulina might be ok as an alternative?

LetThereBeRock · 14/10/2010 13:58

Horrid.

Hulababy · 14/10/2010 14:22

Sorry, lots of older names I do like, but I really don't like Pauline.
