Girl's name that works in French..?

My husband is half-French, so we need a girl's name that works in both English and French, or at least can be said nicely with a French accent, IYSWIM Confused...

We already have an Anna Therese and a Sophie Marie. I like Marianne, but is that too similar to the names we already have?

I also like Noemie (vetoed by DH), Vivienne, Beatrice, Elisabeth (DH doesn't like), Helene (pronounced without the 'H', and I can't make my computer do the accents). DH likes Amelie (which is nice), but my niece is Emily...

Please help!

Elaine - derivative of Helene but without the computer unfriendly accents!

Just to add the above is my shortlist at one point, there lots of other nice french names ending with La which I had to exclude as our last name starts La...

My sister's husband is French. They decided on Chloe for their DD.

Hullygully, Samarche? Seriously? Hmm

dd's half french and called Lauren Alice, works for us.
Other half french girls we know are called Juliette, Morgane, Amelie, Lea.

mamaloco · 24/09/2010 14:13

Samarche ?
Is that a joke? the poor child will be endlessly teased (probably bullied) if she ever goes to France or french speaking countries. "ca marche?" = "how is it going?"

bumbums · 24/09/2010 14:15

Katherine or Katrina

Hullygully · 24/09/2010 14:43

"a girl's name that works"

Samarche = ca marche = "that works"

It's a joke. Geddit?

How about Madeleine? Definitely works in both languages and is lovely with either accent IMHO.
