Phoebe, Poppy or Holly?

Opinions gratefully received? only got 2 weeks or so left now! I know people think poppy suits baby more than adult, but surely that will change with the next generation as there are so many of them??

I like Holly the best.

BuntyPenfold · 20/09/2010 10:28

Love Holly, dubious about Poppy, not Phoebe because school calls them Beefy. Beefee, Febee, geddit?

rachel234 · 20/09/2010 10:34

I only like Phoebe. I find Poppy to close to Poopy and Holly to Christmassy.

hulabula · 20/09/2010 10:42

Pheobe is lovely. Classic and underused.

Not keen on Poppy or Holly - they're both a bit too cutesy for me.

Rhubarbgarden · 20/09/2010 11:14

Holly, by a long way.

Katz · 20/09/2010 11:16

I'd have to say Phoebe

EauRouge · 20/09/2010 11:17

Phoebe. I know too many dogs called Poppy and Holly for it to be a person name for me.

SirBoobAlot · 20/09/2010 11:20

Phoebe.

mopsyflopsy · 20/09/2010 11:27

Another vote for Phoebe.

Poppy and Holly are too trendy/fashionable for me. I prefer more classic elegant names.

cuppatino · 20/09/2010 11:29

Phoebe, Poppy is cute but not sure for adults. Holly is meh....

emmyloo2 · 20/09/2010 12:25

Phoebe or Holly. I like both of these. Probably prefer Phoebe.

Poppy is cute but not really for adults. Plus a little bit trendy for my tastes. The other two are much more underused in my opinion.

MarshaBrady · 20/09/2010 12:28

Holly

Sunlightdances · 20/09/2010 14:27

I know a few adults called Holly and love the name Phoebe. I think you're right about Poppy; I associate it more with cats than I do with people, and definitely more with children than adults.

timetomove · 20/09/2010 15:03

I know an 8 year old Phoebe and she has never been called beefy so far as I am aware (although she isn't). She does sometimes get Feeble (she is a bit) but I think in an affectionate way. Also Fifi or Fee. Great name.

MyMamaToldMe · 20/09/2010 15:12

Love Phoebe - great name

NiceCuppaT · 20/09/2010 16:33

Phoebe is awful, I just don't get it!! Feebs = urgh!

Holly is nice but better for a Christmas baby.

Poppy I like, and she will be fine as an adult with all the Millies, Tillys, Daisys, Maisies, Lilys etc...

mo3g · 20/09/2010 16:37

I only like poppy not keen on phoebe and think holly Christmas as others have said good luck

SacharissaCripslock · 20/09/2010 16:44

Phoebe.

Rockbird · 20/09/2010 16:54

Phoebe is pretty, Poppy is horrible and Holly is dull.

sophiesmummie · 20/09/2010 19:20

I don't really like any, but if I had to choose, I'd say Pheobe. But it won't translate will into other languages imo.

Mumcah · 20/09/2010 21:04

I love Phoebe

Rach109 · 20/09/2010 21:41

Holly

DirtyMartini · 20/09/2010 21:45

Phoebe -- classic (Shakespearean & all) and classy.

Poppy: used to like it as is quite pretty, but too much "of the moment" now, starting to get on my tits because of trendy associations. Bodenesque.

Holly: edging towards naffness

NotanOtter · 20/09/2010 21:46

Phoebe classy

others not

CheerfulYank · 21/09/2010 01:19
