A virtual prize. :).

Hmmm, well she said a Cornish name for the middle name. That has to be 'Loveday'.

For the first name I guess Eleanor, Jane, Sarah or Susannah.

Clementine Rosen

Could maybe be Clemmie?

I am thinking Maud or Mabel though too...

ComeWhineWithMe · 24/08/2010 16:58

Margaret.

ProfessorLaytonIsMyLoveSlave · 24/08/2010 17:02

Lucy, Ellen or Bridget.

Elowen too close to Elwyn (Arthur's middle name). Steren sounds too much like sterile. Demelza is too Poldark. And there I exhaust my knowledge of Cornish girls' names.

lateSeptember1964 · 24/08/2010 17:02

Phoebe or Eliza

sharbie · 24/08/2010 17:04

Betsy Daphne

Just looked at David's family tree for inspiration. Family names:

Mary - fancy it
Fleur - fancy it
Enid - fancy it
Agnes
Elizabeth - fancy it
Rachel - poss
Stephanie
Lucy
Anna
Marianne - fancy it
Katherine
Ida Matilda
Julia - my initial guess!
Susannah - ditto!
Jean - a Nancy like name?
Georgina - ?
Augusta
Kitty
Eliza - poss
Helen - poss
Jenny - in with a chance, unfussy?
Charlotte
Sophia
Amelia
Anne
Sarah - my guess!
Alice - poss
Barbara

Which of these looks likely?
Useless trivia, looks like David is related to William IV!

Morwenna would be a pretty middle name/

stripeyknickersspottysocks · 24/08/2010 17:10

Isobel.

Good to see David Cameron thanking the "Drs and nurses". No mention of midwives, bet they never saw a nurse but good to see the leader of the country has no idea about the staff likely to work in a maternity unit.

TheDoodler · 24/08/2010 17:11

He can't be that dumb surely - they've done this 3 times before....

Cortina · 24/08/2010 17:13

Just checked Sam's ancestry and my money is now on Patricia aka Pandora - her maternal Granny's name.

other ancestors on Sam's side:

Julia - my initial guess again
Priscilla
Laura
Anne Matilda
Henriette
Julie Marie
Jane
Eleanor - another one of my choices
Blanche
Noele
Christina
Spudulike - just checking you haven't fallen asleep :)

I am going to jump in with another guess.

Clara

ProfessorLaytonIsMyLoveSlave · 24/08/2010 17:17

Are midwives normally involved in a c-section? (Genuine question -- I've had one but I was rather out of it at the time and other than the fact that the surgeon was the one wielding the scalpel and the anaesthetist the one with the machine that went ping I rather lost track of who was who).

collision · 24/08/2010 17:18

Margot

Nancy, Arthur and Margot

getstuffed · 24/08/2010 17:18

I'll not be happy if she gets my name or my pram. I'll go with Charlotte anyway.

sorrento56 · 24/08/2010 17:20

I would put money on it not being Sarah.
I think something beginning with R.

sharbie · 24/08/2010 17:20

just seen DM headline 'david cameron says baby just popped out'

a medical miracle ? she had a caesarean

ZeroZeroOne · 24/08/2010 17:21

both of my DDs names have been suggested here - I would be quite distressed if they were actually chosen.

TheDoodler · 24/08/2010 17:23

Cherie Grin

sorrento56 · 24/08/2010 17:23

Of course he would say it popped out. He is hardly going to say it was pulled out of her.
