I'm not pregnant at the moment but am considering trying for another one. I have always liked the name Romilly for a girl. I was wondering how popular it is at the moment as I prefer to use an unusual name.

Would you mind letting me know if you know any little Romillys and which area of the country you live in?

Many thanks

This was our second choice-I still love it and feel a bit sad that we'll probably never use it now...dd is called camilla and don't want to end up with scenario of friends phoning up asking for milly "which milly?" etc. But I love it. It is gorgeous.

A really lovely, unusual, but not whacky, name.

I love the name for a girl, but my friends brother is called it so it's out for us.

I've never actually met a boy called Romilly. How old is your friend's brother? When I was expecting my DD, I found a website run by a man (named Romilly) and basically it welcomed Romillys - you were encouraged to post anyting interesting about the origins of the name, and post if you'd had a baby and named him or her Romilly. Was quite sweet. Will see if I can find it...

Here's the Wikipedia entry for Romilly

and here's the webiste I mentioned

Oh - and I forgot that I'd posted and our Romilly is listed. Too me by surprise (and made me all emotional!!)
