Dear Crafty MNers, hope you don't mind me visiting from a far away land called SN!!
Maybe you already know about this event, it is at Alexandra Palace, 13-16 October. My son's special school (www.treehouse.org.uk) has been chosen as the show's beneficiary charity. They don't get part of the proceeds or takings but, if you can purchase tickets via his school, they will get a percentage that way. Contact Caroline Brookes on 020 8815 5433 or [email protected].
Don't say you heard about it from Davros (!) but if you say from Dee I will tell her those people are from me iyswim.
I know it is school holiday at the moment but I think some of the Fundraising team are still working.
They will also be giving out information about the school, selling raffle tickets etc and I may be one of the volunteers on the day myself so hope to see some of you there!
I will bump this anyway from time to time.

UPDATE ON TICKETS
Contact the organisers and get the tickets directly through them. Say you are supporters of TreeHouse and, if you have not been to the Show before, TreeHouse get a substantial proportion of the ticket price as a donation. The website is www.twistedthread.com and there is now something up on the TreeHouse website www.treehouse.org.uk

Oh pants, I have to work the Saturday and will possibly be lynched by dh if I skip off to a knitting fest on the only day of the week I'm NOT working...
MP, I might go on the Friday afternoon for a couple of hours. Are you around then? How about you, Davros?

Marina · 14/09/2005 09:11

Friday 14th October afternoon - calling Motherinferior, NQC, bundle, Dingle, Fio2...and any other London/SE knitting Mumsnetters. Anyone interested in meeting up for a coffee at Knitting and Stitching? See thread below for how we can help raise money for Davros' ds' school...

motherpeculiar · 14/09/2005 11:11

I normally have both kids on a friday, but will see what I can do. would be nice to meet up - and I bet the show will be quieter on fri than saturday anyway. Will let you know once I've seen whether I can leave DD1 with DH that day - should be ok to bring DD2 with me as she'll be just 6 months and wont get TOO bored.

Davros · 14/09/2005 21:36

Believe it or not, DS's school has an Inset Day on the Friday! And I wanted to go and help hand out leaflets etc. I might see if I can con someone into having him for a few hours as its one of the days I don't have DD. Otherwise I'd have to do Thurs and have DD there too which is OK if I'm not trying to be "helpful"!

Fio2 · 18/09/2005 15:19

Davros · 18/09/2005 19:15

I'll see if I can cod some sucker into having DS for a few hours on Friday for me as I don't have DD on a Friday. I will get onto it asap as I want to meet you all too [group hug]
