URGENT query for blanket knitters - I am in stinking hobbycraft...

...and they don't have any of the set wools! Is there ANyTHING I can use instead? Lots of sirdar and patons here. Stupid hobbycraft!

Purple - id love too but have crocheted anything yet although I did get a hook and some yarn for Xmas. I would hate to mess it up do you think I could do a decent one in time? I only have a small hook is there a minimum ?

You wouldn't be the first to teach yourself, and that effort is far more valuable than any fancy pattern! Come and post on a thread - link up there ^^ - and get going.

LovesBeing - just give it a go, if you are happy with it, send it on, if you aren't - nothing lost :) However, it's all about the love in the square being sent and not about it being perfect. Make it with love and it will be fine. (Sorry, not usually that 'wooey' but it is what it is).
