I made myself a wallet, just for fun - I love sewing, i put a picture on Facebook of my finished very first ever attempt - and 6 people have asked me to make them one, either for themselves or as a gift. Theyve asked how much to charge

(photos are on my profile)

its not really my thing, its very cath kidston, but it was scraps I had from other projects (pin boards)

tell me what you think??

could I do a craft fair and sell things like this? I really enjoyed it

Me again. I did it. The pictures are saved as PSD files and I cant convert them to JPEG so i cant post on my profile and I cant email etc as they are huge files. I do have a blog myself but only family follow me so i'll put them on my blog when I get a chance and link back to your site.

gapants, if you want mass produced cheap stuff then go buy it.

If you look into costing the materials and the time it takes to make the purse I doubt if the op is making very much for her time. I've stood behind people like you at craft fairs who rubbish the work on display and boast they could do it cheaper! I once asked two women, who were saying this about a display of intricate heirloom christening gowns that were reasonably priced; if they could even sew? No prizes for guessing the answer Angry

Good luck onlywantsone. I've always found when selling things that it is often about finding the right venue. Where people appreciate good work and are prepared to pay for it.Smile Just ignor 'The Something For Nothing Brigade'Sad

Sorry gapants I see you redeemed yourself somewhat on page2 which I hadn't reached.

It just annoyes me that so many people expect handmade work to cost so little.
