waiting for Cvs results, scan risk of one in two feeling sick.

On Wednesday I had a cvs following a 12 week scan that came back with a risk of one in two for a chromosomal disorder. All markers were bad. Nucal 4.9, hcg 1.6 MoM, PappAs 0.4 MoM, no nasal bone and other soft markers. Results of cvs are due today, and I feel sick. Basically even if chromosome are ok, very high chance that something else structural has gone wrong. We are heartbroken

We have pretty much decided to terminate if the results are confirmed to be as bad as we think. What I want is for things to move as quickly as possible. Any advice for how to help this happen.

No advice but thinking of you. I had a 1 in 10 risk and I remember the terrible fear and the awful waiting. I was lucky and all was OK but I found the ARC helpline invaluable for information. Could you contact them?

Just heard cvs results not due back until after five. Earliest possible I will get to see a consultant is Tuesday, if I am lucky. Because of bank holiday and half term reduced clinic for the next two weeks ( ironically was due to go on family holiday on Wednesday, would have announced pregnancy there, now prob won't be able to go and will be giving some very different news). I have no idea what next. It feels like I am having my finger nails removed very slowly one by one. It's just a matter of time before I will have nothing left to hang on with.

Thanks, just spoke to arc they were fab, but can't help me unless I get a referral from the hospital, or I pay which isn't am option as I spunked all my money on a harmony test and cvs at the foetal medicine centre.

Thinking of you as 5pm approaches. You sound very brave.

Might BPAS or Marie Stopes be able to act more quickly if that needs to happen? I have no idea but its all I could think of.

Results back, not good, t21 with high likelihood of additional complications. Very unlikely pregnancy is viable. NHS came through in the end. Appointment on Tuesday, termination on Thursday, but all my symptoms have disappeared, feels just like what happened when I miscarried last year. Feel like I am in total robot mode. Now I need to tell my mum, she didn't know I was pregnant. We were due to go on holiday with my folks on Wednesday. I fear this may break her.

I am so sorry. Do you think there's any chance you might actually be having a miscarriage now? I suppose that might make this a tiny, tiny bit more bearable. I hope you have lots of support, either way.

life sucks, but this forum is fucking amazing. The support I have had on here had been a real life line, particularly as all the women in my family have had completely uneventful pregnancies. They are lovely and really supportive, but they will never really understand. Thank you all xx

Parents told, holiday cancelled, termination booked. Have no idea what to do with myself now.haven't left the house in days, not sure if I trust myself in public. Pregnancy symptoms have returned, which weirdly means I am managing to eat and sleep a bit. Dreading that lurch from pregnant into not pregnant. All the hard won and subtle symptoms just evaporate like they were never there, and your body just gets on with life. If only my head could follow suit
