I'm glad he's been charged. He's a malign influence on young men.

My normally rational 23 yr old springs to his defence. We have had really heated disagreements. I do not understand his hold over young men.

They enjoy dominating and oppressing women I guess, because these men are weak and know it.

This is the thing, DS does not enjoy that. He has lots of female friends and treats them with respect. His two girlfriends have both been long lasting, but fizzled out due to distance when education separated them.

I simply do not understand why he thinks AT is someone to look up to. He thinks the accusations are part of a wider conspiracy. He’s even shown me clips of AT speaking and when I’ve given my opinion on the content, he says I’ve been brainwashed against him! I’m at a loss.

I'm afraid you might be in denial. Tate is very open about his violence towards women. Your son admires that man.

Give her a break, she’s only asking for some evidence that she can show to persuade her son. If she doesn’t know what he’s said or how to find the video and someone else does, then it’s a reasonable request to ask them for help to find it.

My son is a decent young man who has listened to this guy’s talks on making money and was impressed in the way that some 23 year olds who have been skint throughout their education might be. You can belittle me as much as you like for my description of him, but you don’t know either of us, so back the fuck off.

It’s not common knowledge to everyone though is it? And knowing the gist of what he’s about is entirely different to knowing precisely what he’s said and where it’s been said. A simple ‘no I can’t’ would have sufficed. She’s trying to change his mind, which is the right thing but not easy to do with a head strong young adult man. A little bit of female solidarity towards her would be nice.

I don't know if these are the worst things he has said or whether it is the most up to date list, its boorish and misogynistic. But I'll be honest and say that considering how triggering he is I expected it to be much worse.

Everything else aside the fact that he admits to having run a "camera girls" operation indicates he is a very unsavoury character, not a role model in any way.

I had a pleasant 16 year old boy with me for the best part of a fortnight a few years ago. It was work experience. I liked him. He was clever, kind and funny.
One of my colleagues had a rant about the patriarchy and I saw him listening, itching to say something but too polite/ insecure to do so.
Afterwards I raised the issue with him and he simply said his secondary school prioritised the girls all the time. He was quite insistent. I often wonder if he follows Tate.

Have you watched the bbc documentary? I think its called the dangerous rise of Andrew Tate. It is on Iplayer, I would start there.
