I'm annoyed that Boden have just emailed to say their sale has started today when it started yesterday!

Had I have not been on here yesterday I would have missed out! Grr. AIBU to be annoyed? Bad Mr Boden, very bad!

I haven't even had an email to say the sale has started, despite being on their emailing list and normally getting what feels like daily emails from them.
Thankfully I spotted the news on MN last night.

Well, your email arrived two minutes before mine did!

I wasn't on MN yesterday, but looked at Boden at 7.30 this morning and got what i wanted, so not overly miffed.

I wonder if the early start was to stop the website from crashing or running slow, as it usually does.

Hmm, no idea. I did email them back though to tell them that their sale did start yesterday, not today (incase they forgot)

I haven't even had the email! But being the saddo I am I knew (or thought I did) that it was due to start today so logged on anyway. Gutted to miss out on the dresses I wanted though, got DH a few nice bits for his birthday however.

Still battling with my conscience over the Joules sale at the mo though...my basket is just waiting to be checked out. The dresses I sepcifically wanted not in sale yet however. Not sure why I'm bothering as I'm 36 wks pregnant, am thinking ahead!

I never got the email either despite having received all their other offers in the last 12 months!

Only discovered the sale at 11.30am and everything I wanted was gone already

I ordered 4 items but one has now gone out of stock so probably will not get that one!

Very disapointed usually spend a lot of money in their sale too!

Quite! I'm trying to judge what size I'll be...I haven't put much on anywhere other than the rather large protruberance around my midriff, so long term I'm hoping it shouldn't be too bad.

That goes down. I was a size 6 pre-baby, around an 8 after (I'm a bit bigger now though) I'd go for 1 size above your pre-baby size.

They still haven't emailed me to say the sale is on, and nor have Joules (although Joules did at least send me a sale brochure yesterday).

I still managed to spend my children's food budget enough in both sales though...

I was quite good, a couple of dresses and a couple of t-shirts for ds.

I worry myself that I had the date noted in my diary...I do feel quite virtuous at how relatively little I have spent sofar.

Well, it's only a bargain if you need it/were going to buy it anyway.

All my clothes come from ebay, most commonly in 'bundles'

Have no idea what size I'd buy if I was to 'shop ahead'.

As a general pint, I think it's best to avoid the initial rush in the sales, and come along later when the 'final reductions' are on. I bought about 8 things last year in Boden sale, but only after they had been waaay reduced.

Hope one day to wear them again...

Just to annoy you even more, did you know that Boden let the USA and European customer have the sale 3 weeks before they let the UK customers have it?

Yeah, that's the thanks we brits get for supporting a british company.

I'm not sure whether to admit to this but if you're Boden's friend on facebook they announced it there yesterday as soon as the sale started...

That's where I found out pirate, then I saw it on here.

My dress was waaay reduced, from £90 something to £32. Bargain, I've been drooling over it for ages but couldn't justify spending almost £100 on 1 dress.

I think they say it's separate stock in the US and that they don't have the man power to start sales both at once, and their USA market is much smaller... But I can't help but be a bit miffed too.

I've just e-mailed jonny boden to demand an explanation - will keep you posted. I really don't think it's fair to treat loyal customers like second class citizens.

I was mightly miffed not to get the 25% off for one day only with free p/p & returns email a few weeks ago. As I have spent quite a lot this year. Luckily my neighbour told me.
