Lacy leggings with a pair of Primark 'boy shorts'(ie knickers) over the top and a lacy crop top showing way too much boob and tummy? It looked like some kind of Bondage Superman

Its a church group run by the bunch of sweetest old ladies - alot of them were very

Sounds vile

Shaz10 · 11/06/2010 20:56

Why did you wear it then?

mountainmonkey · 11/06/2010 20:57

YABU. OK its really bad taste (lacy leggins and hotpants are not great attire full stop) but people can wear what they like. She probably dresses like that all the time- not just at toddlers.

tutu100 · 11/06/2010 20:57

Was the ensemble completed by the lovely look of over hang over the shorts? There is a lovely lady who atteneds a toddler group I do who dresses - well differently! She is actually quite slim but everything seems to be too small for her and makes her look fat as she has this horrible overhang which is always on show.

I do also have said overhang, but mine is tucked in with a long top to make sure no one is inflicted with it.

autodidact · 11/06/2010 20:57

Jesus loved lacy leggings.

KorkiiEffenkrakers · 11/06/2010 20:59

My god who cares? You wouldn't hear a load of men discussing who was wearing what. They would be talking about something which actually matters. Get a blinking life!

DorotheaPlenticlew · 11/06/2010 20:59

"They would be talking about something which actually matters"

berri · 11/06/2010 21:00

'Bondage Superman' PMSL

KorkiiEffenkrakers · 11/06/2010 21:01

Well my Dh and co would be discussing books/films/beer or something or some worth. Bitching about others' attire is of no value whatsoever and not very sisterly. I really dislike it when women do that.

Cretaceous · 11/06/2010 21:01

Like "Will England win the World Cup?"

AMumInScotland · 11/06/2010 21:03

You know, I assumed you meant because toddlers would be likely to grab her legs and rip them, which would be a waste .

It doesn't sound like a particularly attractive outfit to wear anywhere, but you'd be amazed at what some of the "sweet old ladies" got up to back in their day - I'm sure they've seen it all before.

Northernlurker · 11/06/2010 21:08

Am I the only who was assuming from the title that the toddler was wearing this get-up?

Tbh at our church toddler group I don't believe we care what parents wear as long as they have clothes and show some interest in their children. I remember one mum in particular who worried us a lot because she kept having babies and then ignoring the toddlers they became. (This went on for some years) Frankly if she'd been dressed in bondage gear but was playing with the bairns not just sitting there oblivious we would have been delighted!

sanfairyann · 11/06/2010 21:11

miaow

Maylee · 11/06/2010 21:16

So what if the mother was wearing lacy leggings? Not really anyone's place to judge whether it's appropriate or not.

In fact, I feel sorry for the lady - she's come along to her local toddler group to give her child an opportunity to play and interact with other children and she finds herself the subject of

Why should anyone care what she is wearing?

tethersend · 11/06/2010 21:21

I trust you threw a Boden tea dress over her immediately.

Numberfour · 11/06/2010 21:24

YANBU: Therefore you may ignore all other comments as they are irrelevant, except for the comment made by Lionstar. S/He speaks sense.

Ladyanonymous · 11/06/2010 21:26

I love a good bitch (as long as no one gets harmed)

Lacy leggings = Excellent

serin · 11/06/2010 21:32

YABU.

ROFL at "trust you threw a Boden tea dress over her".

Maylee · 11/06/2010 21:33

God forbid anyone should dress differently.....

and that she should come to a church group dressed in Primark.....

ShadeofViolet · 11/06/2010 21:40

There is different and then having your arse cheeks barely covered by very thin lace.

And the only reason I know they are from Primark is because I have some too - infact I have the same pair that she was wearing, but I wear them under my clothes obviously.

Maylee · 11/06/2010 21:45

You said she was wearing boy shorts over the leggings though? So her arse cheeks would have been covered by thin lace and then the boy shorts?

scottishmummy · 11/06/2010 21:47

thought the lord loves all.even primark.you snob

frumpy boden middle class attire doesnt equate to good mum

and primark doesnt equate to bad mum

do you always gawp and judge?

Maylee · 11/06/2010 21:51

Lol @ scottishmummy

If Primark = bad mum, then they'd have locked me up and thrown away the key a long long time ago........

ShadeofViolet · 11/06/2010 21:52

I only gawmp when I can see things that should be hidden!

Boyshorts (or these ones atleast) are just knickers really.
