'Why is it that the unemployed choose 11:30pm as the most appropriate time of day to take their preschool children to do their shopping?'

arrogant or what?

Disenchanted3 · 07/06/2010 08:52

I'm not sure I understand it.

Why would people shoppingat 11:30 'unemployed' or not bother them?

Sorry, I didn't finish what the guy had said, someone asked him how he knew they were unemployed? He replied due to their trolley contents of saver items and lack of parenting skills or social etiquette meaning they couldn't actually hold down any job!!!!

kolacubes · 07/06/2010 08:54

They take the kids out in middle of night to do shopping? Yes I never understand the crying tired children at our 24 hour store at 10/11 at night, and think put kids to bed for crying out loud.

bearcrumble · 07/06/2010 08:56

Probably best for the unemployed to do their shopping late morning or just after peoples lunch hours have finished.

I wonder why he doesn't want them to shop at 11.30?

You can tell a lot about someone by what's in their trolley and how they act in public.

skihorse · 07/06/2010 09:00

YABU

Why do you give a flying fuck? Why do you find it offensive?

coderrooo · 07/06/2010 09:05

oh DO feck off with facebook shiteola

MarylinMonroe · 07/06/2010 09:05

Because he sees stay at home mums as unemployed, sees saver items as something to mock and he judges other's parenting skills.

Maybe it's because I know him in RL, and know he is quite arrogant anyway.

Coderroo, it was obvious from title it was re: FB so why read if that's your attitude?

skihorse · 07/06/2010 09:10

So er... if you "know" what he's thinking and you don't like him irl - why are you fb friends with him?

AIBU in thinking my friend Hitler is a bit rude to Jewish people? Should I block his status updates? [rolleyes]

coderrooo · 07/06/2010 09:10

MarylinMonroe · 07/06/2010 09:11

Might just remove him from my friends. No big deal really, was actually hoping to pinch some clever retorts from here- me being a very stupid stay at home mum to 2 small children, I can't actually think of any myself, you see.

OP posts:
MarylinMonroe · 07/06/2010 09:12

OK coderrooo, I get your point, this thread is beneath you. You don't have to keep wittering on you know.

OP posts:
toccatanfudge · 07/06/2010 09:13

well I have to say i kind of agree with him, apart from the unemployed bit..........11.30pm isn't really a time to take pre-school children shopping is it

tethersend · 07/06/2010 09:15

11.30 pm

All the shops are shut.

I don't get it.

pagwatch · 07/06/2010 09:15

ski I would block him. He is always putting those bloody awful little water colours on there . It gets so dull
"yes adolph , you use great brushstrokes and your understanding of light is great. And very funny pic of Eva pulling a face..."

Block the bastard.

Firawla · 07/06/2010 09:17

what's wrong with 11.30?! seems like a very strange person with not much going on in his life to be so bothered by that and so interested in checking out other shoppers saver items. i would just ignore him. why is he shopping @ 11.30 himself anyway, is he unemployed himself? no need to care what he thinks anyway, i am a sahm and i would not like to have a job anyway. big deal if someone calls me unemployed - yes i am, lucky me!
seriously just ignore, if he bothers that much then delete him

skihorse · 07/06/2010 09:18

lol@pagwatch. Yes, I'm bloody sick of his watercolours - it's all Belgian peasant countryside this, Flanders fields that. He never does a bowl of fruit and Eva's wardrobe needs a serious re-think.

bruffin · 07/06/2010 09:20

Supermarkets in our area are open 24 hours, Tethersend, he has a point about taking little ones out that late.

Firawla · 07/06/2010 09:21

oh i thought it was 11.30am! misread that sorry

tethersend · 07/06/2010 09:24

Right, thanks bruffin

You would think I live in a hick backwater- but I don't even have that excuse. I live in London. Gah.

What year is this?

MagalyZz · 07/06/2010 09:25

Tell him it's a nouveau riche leap to assume that penny pinching = unemployed.
