'Why is it that the unemployed choose 11:30pm as the most appropriate time of day to take their preschool children to do their shopping?'

arrogant or what?

Check out his holiday photos though, skihorse...

tethersend · 07/06/2010 09:26

... he gets around a bit.

skihorse · 07/06/2010 09:35

tethersend - Oh I loved the Vatican ones - and who knew the nuns could do that? Some of the more recent ones - I can't tell whether he's in Chile or Argentina - and he's such a wag - never says where he is.

ProfessorLaytonIsMyLoveSlave · 07/06/2010 09:41

11.30 pm isn't really a good time to take preschool children shopping, unless you are just back from somewhere on the other side of the world and jetlagged.

But swipes at "the unemployed" uncalled for.

Now I am quite embarrassed because I actually read it to be 11.30am not pm myself. Ooh, good job I posted on here first.

I have known him a long time but don't socialise with him. If I say why he is on my FB I could be identified in RL so I can't.

I get his point - just not how he put it, but its FB and sometimes the whole point of a status is to get a reaction - Very much like the AIBU threads!!!!

At the end of the day, its no-one elses business when ANYONE does their shopping.

The reason I say that I get his point, is that I get the right hump if, for example, I'm in the PO on a Saturday and the queue is massive and its full up with OAP's - I just think can't they do their stuff during the week as they don't work??? I have no choice but to go at the weekend.

Still don't get how he can tell they're unemployed though...

ApocalypseCheese · 07/06/2010 09:56

Ha, my brother in law is seriously loaded, h goes shopping at stupid times (insomniac) an his shopping trolley is a homage to value ranges and bags with one carrot in. (I will never forget bumping into him and ds one christmas, they were embroiled in a huge row over luxury coleslaw, he of course wanted value) Probably why he has so much money

Goodness knows what your twatty friend would make of him !

MagalyZz · 07/06/2010 10:15

funkycherry, maybe they only get into town when one of their working children is around to give them a lift?

just suggesting a reason why saturday might also suit OAPs ... I don't notice it myself.
