?thanks 2 af jumpin of the febuary bus and hopping on to the march bus

I don't know these people, they may be very nice but this is offending me in my active convos list.

I'm afraid i'll have to hide it.

why are you offended by it? just don't read it if you don't want to

Ronaldinhio · 01/06/2010 18:55

whatever does it mean?

ShowOfHands · 01/06/2010 18:57

Because those people didn't manage to get pregnant in February due to the arrival of their periods (af), they are no longer on their metaphorical February conception bus and instead riding one entitled March instead.

EccentricaGallumbits · 01/06/2010 18:57

i usually only hide the really offensive stuff. like prams and huns and paedophiles so i feel bad hiding people i don't really have to.

OP posts:
Disenchanted3 · 01/06/2010 18:57

It means

Thanks to 'AF' we are jumping off the February bus and onto the March bus.

Meaning their 'AF' (period) came at the end of February and so they are trying to concieve again March.

CoronaAndLime · 01/06/2010 18:57

Sorry, I dont know if I get it.

Is it that the op was trying to conceieve to have a baby in feb, but didnt so is trying for her next cycle so she is now hoping for a baby in march?

If so why is it offensive to you?

ShowOfHands · 01/06/2010 18:58

Presumably btw. I have never been on their buses, monthly or otherwise.

4andnotout · 01/06/2010 18:58
Biscuit
ShowOfHands · 01/06/2010 18:59

Oh actually, they mean they're trying to conceive a baby that will be due in March aren't they?

ClaireDeLoon · 01/06/2010 18:59

I would think a baby due in March rather than conceive in March, what with it being June now and everything.

EccentricaGallumbits · 01/06/2010 18:59

nope. not even wanting to conceive. it's the shocking grammar.

OP posts:
babywalks · 01/06/2010 19:00

still dont understand why you are offended by it op?

MrsWobbleTheWaitress · 01/06/2010 19:00

I think it's the grammar/spelling/punctuation/twee language that's offensive to the OP, not the content.

Oh, and YAB a bit mean but I would do it too! I think I must have that topic hidden though as I can't see it on my active convos.

chibi · 01/06/2010 19:01

Do you suppose they allow bears on their buses? Or bees? Or bears with their mouths full of bees?

I need to know before I buy a ticket

Oh I see.

Well you can be offended by the grammar, but babies born in march are v. clever and beautiful so that cancels out the bad grammer.
YABU

ShowOfHands · 01/06/2010 19:04

ClaireDeLooon, I don't have it on my active convos either so presumably I have hidden it or its topic. Assumed it was an old thread from March but if it's annoying the OP currently then it must mean they are planning a March baby, as I said.

ClaireDeLoon · 01/06/2010 19:04

I don't understand your post about bears and bees chibi?

babywalks · 01/06/2010 19:06

a bit weird to be offended by someone else's poor grammer. I've seen loads of thread titles on here that have spelling mistakes, wouldn't make me want to hide the thread though

CoronaAndLime · 01/06/2010 19:06

I think bears and bees would be ok as long as they are not in the disabled/puchchair bay.

HecateQueenOfWitches · 01/06/2010 19:07

nah, life's too short to be offended by other people's grammar.

It's nice they have got together for support. From what I read, people who are trying to conceive can sometimes feel really bad. If they get some support then good for them and who cares about a thread title?

I'd be much more bothered by the thread titles that include obscenities and threats of violence.

If I was going to give a shit about anything, that is.

posieparker · 01/06/2010 19:08

I like the OP. (this one not the barely literate one)

ShowOfHands · 01/06/2010 19:09

Well, it's particularly noteworthy as it covers a ranger of irksome errors. Spelling, grammar, lack of capitalisation, text speak, twee abbreviations, lack of punctuation, deictic markers and mildly annoying pretend buses.

I can't bring myself to get worked up about it, but it is a spectacular example of wot not 2 rite isn't it?
