?thanks 2 af jumpin of the febuary bus and hopping on to the march bus

I don't know these people, they may be very nice but this is offending me in my active convos list.

I'm afraid i'll have to hide it.

that's why i feel bad for being offended by it. because i'm sure they are nice and supportive and god knows not being able to conceive when you want to is shit enough.

but i so prefer a bit of profanity and even the odd slap in a title.

It's a dumb joke reference to another thread

ignore!

southeastastra · 01/06/2010 19:11

couldn't care less, am more annoyed at the ones that use swear words tbh but that's because ds is about usually

tethersend · 01/06/2010 19:14

chibi, I'm afraid the bus is full of monkeys again.

But this time they are armed.

victoriascrumptious · 01/06/2010 19:17

Such a wird thang 2 b ofended about.

Get a lif

chibi · 01/06/2010 19:20

the monkeys are no match for my dragon

DuelingFanjo · 01/06/2010 19:21

it's the 'of' instead of 'off'.

EccentricaGallumbits · 01/06/2010 19:23

I think that's the bit that hurts the most. I often don't use capitals. My spacebar is tempramental. My spelling is non to special, particularly after wine BUT I do think of/off and your/you're sould never ever be confused.

OP posts:
EccentricaGallumbits · 01/06/2010 19:24

fuck me. TOO not to

HecateQueenOfWitches · 01/06/2010 19:25

I am offended by your poor grammar, E.

EccentricaGallumbits · 01/06/2010 19:27

me too. i'm going to have to hide myself.

I also hate should of instead of should have. But also have problems with my keyboard that includes missing whole words.

Couldn't help myself.

DuelingFanjo · 01/06/2010 19:29

This one is awful

i think you will find, posie, that I have never used 'should of' instead of 'should hav'. perish the thought.

I am so offended by so many thread titles that I hide 90% of mumsnet topics.

Unless you are actively ttc yourself, and up for a bit of mutual support along the way, surely there is absolutely no need to have that topic in your active convos?

Or are you trying to tell us something op ?

posieparker · 01/06/2010 19:32

Hey OP, 'tis the nature of slagging off grammar, spelling or punctuation to then make mistakes yourself. That's why I rarely do it!

Although if you post through Google Chrome it highlights mistakes.

Northernlurker · 01/06/2010 19:34

I cannot believe you felt the need to start a thread complaining about other poster's lack of grammar and poor spelling/typing.
This really is a bit much.

May I start a thread now about your all round fussiness and lack of compassion?

EccentricaGallumbits · 01/06/2010 19:35

i only tend to hide really offensive stuff though.

maybe i should have a cull.

my grammar and punctuation are generally perfectbut my typing is a bit shit and my keyboard sticky.

OP posts:
EccentricaGallumbits · 01/06/2010 19:36

But I am compassionate. that's why i feel bad for hiding a nice supportive group of nice people. i know it's unreasonable.

feel free to hide me if i offend though.

So hide the thread and keep quiet about it - why the need to start a thread? Unless it's to gratify some dubious sese of intellectual superiority?
Just wince in private.

NetworkGuy · 01/06/2010 23:43

Well put victoriascrumptious

However many mistakes, it's not the end of the world to see something poor in grammar, spelling, but using txt spk is appauling

Thanks posieparker for the corrections.

I only used 'appauling' as I've seen it and inwardly cringe so I assume many others do too.

Katisha · 01/06/2010 23:45

I tend to hide any thread that has "hubby" in the title...
