I cannot even bear to look at a photograph of him, never mind hear him on the radio or television.

Not such a problem with Dave and Nick, though its all a bit too chummy for my liking.

But George - there is just something not quite right. Not quite ... human.

In our local paper they're reporting frothy mouthed about 'swingeing spending cuts in the north ain't it just like the Tories'

However, I expect (hope) that spending cuts are being applied across the country rather than it being a vindictive 'Tories hate working class' mission.

The cuts will impact everyone. Irrespective of income/ class/ creed/ location/ religious beliefs etc etc.

We have no money. We are all going to have to tighten our belts. It is not going to be pretty for anyone. Why are people on here time and time again thinking only certain demographics will be effected? We all will.

Well not entirely irrespective of income/class etc. People with low incomes who rely heavily on public services are bound to be more deeply affected. But decisions such as the reform of capital gains tax will make a big difference to who loses most.

Keep banging mistletoes - it might help you wake up

It won't affect everyone in the same way. For example, George Osbourne and people like him, they soon will be having relief from Inheritance Tax...........strange. Also, an extra couple of % of VAT makes no difference when you could burn money and it not make any difference (i.e. no tightening of belts) I can't imagine the Osbourne type person saying "ooooh best not buy that tv/new car/private schooling because of that 2% hike in VAT." I don't think the leaders of our country and the people they associate with and know will have to tighten their belts at all.

Therefore their preaching about us tightening our belts makes me rather cross. And it is also why their backgrounds are so very very relevant.
