I cannot even bear to look at a photograph of him, never mind hear him on the radio or television.

Not such a problem with Dave and Nick, though its all a bit too chummy for my liking.

But George - there is just something not quite right. Not quite ... human.

YANBU

Did you see that clip of him coming to the podium after Sarkozy had been speaking at some do or other, the way he disdainfully and showily moved what he referred to sarcastically as "the Sarkozy box" (the step that had been placed there so that it was the right height for Sarkozy) away and commented on it sneerily to the assembled press.

I mean WTF? Never seen such bad form and arrogance in recent years in a politician, and that is saying something.

Snobear4000 · 25/05/2010 21:07

Old Gids is awright. Check him out here:

mrspooh · 25/05/2010 21:10

he does my head in!! my dh is dreading 5 yrs of me ranting every time hes on tv. by the way he was originally gideon!

WilfShelf · 25/05/2010 21:11

I wondered if he was jizzing in his pants during the Queen's Speech, the way he sat there with his mouth open, panting...

LadyBlaBlah · 25/05/2010 21:19

Osbourne joy here Interesting to see how the media have changed towards to tories now !

what a bunch of cocks

2cats2many · 25/05/2010 21:23

YANBU. He makes my skin crawl.

serin · 25/05/2010 22:01

He is our MP

He visited our local primary a few months ago and the teachers were told what questions the kids were to ask and what topics were to be avoided! They were a class of 6yr olds!

DH and I were ROFL at him a few years back at Tatton flower show, he was preening for his public whilst spilling his tea everywhere.

No wonder markets are falling.

I also have a deep distrust and dislike for him, for no discernable reason, other than a childish and knee jerk reaction against any Tory (I am old enough to remember Margaret Thatcher, Norman Tebbit et al).

He just seems a bit odd to me.

I still haven't recovered from him being on that yacht in Corfu with Peter Mandleson the other summer......most peculiar.

tattycoram · 25/05/2010 22:16

Talking of old school Tories, I got a bit of a shock when Peter Lilley popped up in the Commons - I thought he'd gone ages ago.

DrSpechemin · 25/05/2010 22:16

I too have an irrational dislike and distrust of him - I can't even watch/listen to him being interviewed.

Glad I am not alone in this reaction to him

liath · 25/05/2010 22:17

I was going to start the same thread. I can't bear him because he just looks like.....a tory. It's ridiculous to judge him purely on the fact he looks a bit sneery and oily and toff-ish. I'm ashamed of myself.

I shreiked at my 21 year old DS when Peter Lilley appeared!!

I remember him in the old Tory govt. Who is is now that he had to give that speech? Leader of the House of Commons or something?

There were always totally unfounded i'm sure rumours about him in the ole days...

galletti · 25/05/2010 22:41

Don't detest him ,but don't trust him either - never have and never will. Having said that never got my head round a Chancellor called Darling either, so maybe I'm just fickle.

mydoorisalwaysopen · 25/05/2010 23:26

At the state opening of parliament today he reminded me of a smirking Blackadder concocting a cunning plan. Vile man. I will never buy anything from Osborne and Little (never would have any way - too expensive for one thing) since realising it is (or was??) his family's firm.

tattycoram · 26/05/2010 07:28

I know Lounge, it's as if has he just been sitting in the commons quietly ageing for the past decade.

That picture has given me the biggest laugh of my day! I can't bear George Osbourne. It doesn't help that I think he'd fit right into Blackadder III in a pair of knee length breeches and a frock coat and wig..

maria1665 · 26/05/2010 19:17

With a black heart shaped beauty spot on his left cheek.

'I admit to a visceral hatred for him based on nothing more than instinct.'

This is exactly how I feel, I can't explain it and I very rarely take a dislike to anyone like this. He seems evil, sneering...makes me shudder!

LadyBlaBlah · 27/05/2010 10:01

You should always trust your instincts. We have evolved over millions of years to be able to automatically and subconsciously suss out a twat

maria1665 · 27/05/2010 10:07

Lady BB - that's it exactly.

So how on earth did he ended up being democratically elected to be in charge of all our money!!

(My husband reckons we've only got a coalition government because of Osborne. He thinks the conservatives would have won outright if Gorgeous George had been lurking.)

OP posts:
HobbitMama · 27/05/2010 13:12

I think both of them, (Cam the spam and Georgy-Porgy) would both look completely fitting in white wigs and knee breeches. They're smarmy, their degrees have NOTHING to do with the daily decisions they'll be making, they have no experience other than being highly rich, elitist, wanna-be-royals.
I don't trust either of them, and think they're just in politics because they're not competent enough to get employed elsewhere . I think it's outrageous and sad that they've been elected - I so hoped that Britain had moved forward from old-school attitudes like this, but it appears not.
I'd really rather not sound this judgemental, but everything I've seen of them has led me to this - and yes, he looks like he should be a member of the Blackadder cast!

mistletoekisses · 27/05/2010 13:21

Good god. I would say there is some twisted logic on this thread.

OP, YABU. He seems to be doing a good job of slashing wasted money so far.

And at the elitist/ reverse classism comments at this thread. I mean really. Do we have another 5 years of this?
