Gah! I was so involved at the beginning of that thread. She quoted me twice (ignoring my serious points and homing in on the rude bits, natch) in her C+P frenzy! And then I got busy with RL and missed the end ...

Lots of people tried really hard to be nice too and were very forgiving. Headbanger was a treat though, I think she deserves a certificate, a working class one though.

I'm awful embarrassed. Mostly however, I am very nearly speechless with rage. Not just because my pal Gin - who, let me tell you, has more grace, courage, wit and compassion in her little finger than most woman can cram into every last fold of their fanjo - was made sad, but because the OP embodied everything that's worst about the worst kind of person. Competitive and snobby and dismissive and incoherent and deliberately obtuse and defensive and self-righteous and self-satisfied and so wholly self-absorbed that if she doesn't wank daily in front of a mirror I'll eat my darling little veiled 50s pill-box hat. I feel tainted, so I do. Because I have four sisters, and woman friends I love, and MN friends that are bright particular stars on some fairly filthy nights, and to see a woman (possibly?!) pull all that down with her nasty, grasping little french-manicured fingers was more than flesh and blood could stand.
