I can't find anywhere where this banning of the England flag and wearing of England tops has been reported in the media. I think it is just another hyped up facebook group designed for BNP supporters to express their ignorance.

Is anyone else really hoping that England get knocked out in the first round of the World Cup? I can't be arsed to hear about this all summer...

I do think that the world cup is an utter waste of money. And I would rather watch paint dry than watch a group of grown men prance around in short-shorts, throwing themselves on the floor occasionally and shrieking when they find a split end, and getting paid a stupid amount of money to do so.

And I think what Vivian is getting at is the whole point of this thread - the supporting that then turns into racism.

Trouble is she's the chair of our local NCT branch and we know LOTS of people in common and I don't want to get in a fight/discussion with her.

I've reported it again - but this time said the Basic Info was racist. (last time I reported the thread title). Might keep going.

So after posting many 'racist' posts and disagreeing with most (some are anti group posts like mine) of the posters my fb posting on wall rights have been stopped....but the group is still there.

So glad I've seen this thread, a person friend requested me in the week and has now joined the group you mention NewBird. I was hovering over the defriend button last night, only one of my friends to join anything that's offensive and he's so gone now!!

Football isnt solely supported by knuckle dragging, racist types. My family and friends are certainly not like that but it's sad that lots are.
