I can't find anywhere where this banning of the England flag and wearing of England tops has been reported in the media. I think it is just another hyped up facebook group designed for BNP supporters to express their ignorance.

My friend on facebook put a post on his wall:

OK, I've just deleted 4 fb 'friends' who have joined these groups. I'm bloody furious! I've been too 'nice' in the past giving fb friends the benefit of the doubt when they've made dodgy comments but no more! New rule! Dodgy views = deleted.

OMG- that group really is populated by people from the shallow end of the gene pool isnt it?

I used to do a lot of bar work and we routinely banned football colours on match days. Bit harsh to the many fans who just wanted to come in and have a drink wearing their strip but it did prevent big kick offs in the event that there were neandethals who decided to start tribal warfare in the middle of the pub. The police were recommending this approach even then (wont say how long ago but it was pre-mobile phones)
