I suspect I am , but don't care frankly. I hid politics topic as I was getting sick of seing all the threads taking up my active convos, but now it sems it's ok to put political threads in other topics too!

I think as we're undergoing some pretty major changes/upheaval/uncertainty at the moment YABU to expect to be able to ignore it or avoid it.

I can only see 3 on the 1st page of AIBU. Out of about 35/40, that's not too bad seeing something major has just happened.

There is also a section for most topics covered in aibu so yes YABU otherwise aibu board would be near enough empty.

Some posters prefer "chat" so it drops out of the archives. You can always hide the threads that offend you.

Oh and btw you others, please consider that sometimes posters are not as strong as they appear. Politics might be high in the public conscientiousness right now, but it doesn't mean we all have to barrack each other.

Well, I admit, it does not seem as aggressive as I was expecting, but Saltire was upset and asked me to defend her. I don't want to disclose anything in case she is keeping it quiet, but she is in a fragile state at the moment. I am only here to offer her support. I am scuttling back under my stone soon. I agree with Saltire that MN is going through a bad patch at the moment and I have no desire to be part of it.
