I mean dear god.

I have a visceral hatred of the series anyway, but this film was the depths which should never be plunged.

The basic message: women, know thy place.

And I want Dittany to watch this film and report back.

All right then, poor old Carrie got jilted because Big got all 'spooked' about her wedding planning ways.

However, he managed to woo her back at the last minute, and she was then happy to marry the bloke who jilted her and with the minimum of fuss.

And this was a happy ending because...

big is NO good for her,she should have stuck with Aidan!

Ah, but Clary I loved the first series of SATC as it was quite funny and self aware.

Then it went downhill and all self reverential and charicatured.

And Carrie should have been single at the end of the series. To me that was the hwole blardy point of the series. That you can be happy single. Not to have to wait 10 sodding years for some old fart to stop piss arsing around and decide that he is ready for you now.

I overanalyse things.

I thought the CArrie /big story line was aload of tosh but then they have always been the weakest things about SATC in my opinion.

BUT as a piece of bubblegum showcasing fab clothes and shoes it can't be beaten!

Roll on Satc THE SEQUEL, it will be even more outlandish

I have all the SITC on dvd, plus the first movie, loved them.

Carrie is the MOST self-obsessed character ever invented. How does she have any friends?! Especially someone as fun as Samantha! Can't abide the navel gazing cow woman.

The entire series is about finding / keeping blardy men. Sheesh.

SATC is my thang and I love it I cannot wait for the new film - as soon as the tickets are released I'll be at the cinema on my own watching it.

Hah! That Star Trek ref was an in-joke; my DH is a big fan and so I have seen a numbe rof Star Trek films.
