To think that Nick Griffin is misunderstood and actually a nice chap?

I heard him being interviewed this morning on the Today programme.

Firstly, it turns out he's not racist or against immigration! Apparently, he says it's ok for French people to come here (there's not that many that want to so its ok). AND he says that Irish people can come here too because they're really all British! So that's nice. I was a bit confused because I thought they'd spent all those years bombing us because they didn't want to be British but I guess I've got that all wrong.

He's not going to let Algerian asylum seekers come though, but I don't think it matters because they'll just get killed where they are in their own country so that won't be a problem for them much longer.

And the best thing is... he's going to give £50,000 to anyone who's not "pure British" to leave the country and go back to where they came from! How cool is that! So I'm now deciding whether to go back to my Great-Grandmother's origins in Russia, or my Great Grandfather's in Finland. Now, apparently this money is going to come from what he called stupid anti-Climate Change projects so although much of Russia and pretty much all of Finland is a bit chilly, as the climate changes because they money is being spent on me, they'll get warmer and I'll be all toasty!

Brilliant!

fascists in some guise have made some steps in gaining ground in british politics over the last few decades..but british politics has nver changed.. becasue the vast majority of people see the fascists for what they are

as the country pulls out of recession and we see a return to more stable econimic times, the BNP will lose ground, it is a cycle for fascism to gain ground in times of financial miscontent.. because it is nice to point to the finger of blame at immigrants for stealing jobs, taking social housing, using up benefits etc...

if you want to talk politics DP, start a thread... but it does not give you the right to insult and hurt anyone

Lulumaam · 02/05/2010 13:26

also, am interested to know what else you do in you role as an activist?

daftpunk · 02/05/2010 13:29

LG;

It's not boring...politics is exciting..it's all I'm interested in atm..(apart from Chelsea beating Liverpool today) ...

The BNP are part of the political system now, like it or not...I am not posting on any other threads..I am sticking to political ones....this is a thread about NG....so it's bleedin obvious I will talk about him.....

If you wanna talk about cooking or knitting...I'm not for you..

eatsushi · 02/05/2010 14:08

tell it like it is the bnp are shocking - candidate found guilty of assualting 2 women

Supporting the bnp is anti-female.

eatsushi · 02/05/2010 14:19

bnp "star" quits to expose racist party

Yep BNP are still a racist party.

Lulumaam · 02/05/2010 14:22

eatsushi, i have pointed out the rife misogny in teh BNP to DP on many occasions, but she never addresses it

same as she has ignored another one of my questions re her role as an activist

When Ivan Cameron died there was unity across many political parties in the expressing of condolences.

Not so with the bnp.

Jeff Marshall, the central London BNP organiser, who lives in Whitechapel, wrote: ?We live in a country today which is unhealthily dominated by an excess of sentimentality towards the weak and unproductive. No good will come of it.?

Marshall stated that although it would be ?a kindness? to kill children with disabilities, this was not the same as advocating such a measure as compulsory state policy. ?But so what if it is,? he asked. ?At least we would all know where we stand. There is actually not a great deal of point in keeping these sort of people alive, after all.?

Now tell me - just how could you be a member of the bnp party or an activist once you read this? Just how?

DAftpunk do you support that measure?

Staright answer please

daftpunk · 02/05/2010 14:54

It was a Labour MP who legalized abortion in this country.

Plus, 95% of parents who have tests for downs syndrome terminate the pregnancy if d/s is discovered....I very much doubt they all vote BNP.

tethersend · 02/05/2010 14:57

DP, you need to answer that one.

Leave all the other questions aside.

Answer Sanctimoanyarse's question.

eatsushi · 02/05/2010 14:58

DP where did you get that statistic from?

eatsushi....I will try and find the info and link it to you...

You can't keep talking about the BNP like they are the antichrist...parents terminate pregnancies every day of the week, and alot of those terminations are due to disabilties.....that is the parents right, which is why abortion is legal in this country....and so it should be.

eatsushi · 02/05/2010 15:04

DP ignore my question about statistics. Other posters have rightly asked that you answer the question about disability.

thecatatemygymsuit · 02/05/2010 15:04

AS somebody said, if you're going to hold such despicable views, you should at least have the balls to 'own' them. Nice side-step of the question DP (and also adding your pro-life stance to the mix. Guess you're not a supporter of rights for women either).
You just cannot defend the indefensible. The BNP are racist, homophobic bigoted thugs and DP's constant bleating about defending 'her' country is just meaningless bollocks.
The culture of Great Britain is hardly under threat, is it? I live in a multi-cultural area of south London and while there are some social problems, as there are anywhere, most people are tolerant of other races/religions and rub along quite happily.
And this is quite apart from the bizarre self-hatred that allows her to be an activist for a party which would have banned her own parents and partner from entering the country, she hides behind Catholicism as an excuse. No decent Catholic or in fact decent person would have such profoundly imhumane views. You have more in common with the Taliban than you realize.

thecatatemygymsuit · 02/05/2010 15:05

Ok I take back the pro-life stance. Didn't see the post.
