I like her.

She works hard, has raised 3 sons and seems to do so well, was successful in one career (no matter what we may think of the Spice Girls), is supportive of her husband yet has been successful in starting another career.

I love the design of her dresses.

I think she is a good egg. God knows why she inspires such vitriol.

I'd rather my DD wanted to be like her than Alex Gerrard for example.

At least VB has a career and was arguably the more succesful one in the relationship when they married.

find posh and the other tanorexics turgid.bemused people actively like them and know lil anecdotal tittle tattle about them

i just think what is the point of you.what are you for

Whelk · 26/04/2010 21:03

The thing that I find frustrating and saddening with VB and many other female public figures is that there is just so much self-perpetuated focus on how she looks rather than what she does and says.

traceybath · 26/04/2010 21:03

I know SM - I am a deplorable human being for reading Grazia whilst feeding a baby and actually retaining some of the information I read.

noddyholder · 26/04/2010 21:04

Very pretty in a certain light.dresses are stunning like her hair nvy her shoes apart from that dull dull dull and imo in a sham marriage where her dh does as he pleases and she keeps quiet to maintain the brand

scottishmummy · 26/04/2010 21:06

speak yer weight schlebs are dull.they contribute nothing

DeborahDevonshire · 26/04/2010 21:07

i am not sure. What is the point of me? What is the point of us all? Why is sitting on MN chatting on an random trivia thread on the internet any less inane than reading a celeb mag and having an opinion about VB?

What is the point of you? What are you for? Please enlighten us dimwitted folk

whether or not she personally has an ed (and i personally think she does) her constant parading of her ghastly clavicles as somehow attractive adn aspiration is enough to launch a thousand eds.

Completely agree - she's a dreadful role model. Also hate that she's trotted out as a style icon - she wears trucker caps ffs.

scottishmummy · 26/04/2010 21:11

my existence is not defined by products or my weight.i have a proper job.not fannying about looking wane with a big fucking kop on,plastic tits, and oversized bag.

i know what i do

i dont know what vb and other schlepy schlebs do.they have no added value

HerBeatitude · 26/04/2010 21:14

God it's a bit strong to say she's in a sham marriage.

I can't imagine living in a sham marriage and I wouldn't attribute to someone I'm not personally acquainted with, motives which I would never have myself. Why do we always think slebs are either more human or less human than we are? (Massive assumption that no-one here is a sleb, apologies if you are in fact all Hello-Fodder.)

scottishmummy · 26/04/2010 21:17

i just think what is the point of you.what are you for comment relates to posh, not posters here.

traceybath · 26/04/2010 21:18

I did get that SM. I mean - I know you're blunt but not that blunt .

HerBeatitude · 26/04/2010 21:21

Can I have some clarity here on what constitutes a "big kop"?

HerBeatitude · 26/04/2010 21:22

Thinks about VB job description

-Look wane
-Carry big kop?
-In oversized bag

noddyholder · 26/04/2010 21:23

Why? it is only an opinion!I have no problem with her weight whereas some people do I think she is fine and lots of people in her position are thin.

scottishmummy · 26/04/2010 21:25

big kop on=moody, face like skelped arse.skinny arse in posh case

Cyclops · 26/04/2010 21:25

Depends on how you define 'national treasure'?

But off the top of my head, it's a no.

cahu · 26/04/2010 21:27

Did VB actually do any designing of aforementioned fashion line

scottishmummy · 26/04/2010 21:32

does anyone care.maybe acolytes buy for the dvb brand regardless of who made it

traceybath · 26/04/2010 21:34

The dresses are nice but way beyond my budget.

hellymelly · 26/04/2010 21:35

National treasure? She's not Germaine Greer for God's sake. She is an eating disorderly twig with fake breasts.

notso · 26/04/2010 21:56

Dear me no, I blame her and her husband for starting this sleb shit, remember the matching dogs and engagement spreads?

What exactly does she do apart from put her name to clothes and perfume?

I don't know her so obviously can't comment on her personality but I think she is the face of a lot of qualities I dislike about the whole 'celebrity' culture.

scottishmummy · 26/04/2010 22:03

fortunately i dont remember matching dogs.
