Bawbag, electric soup, neds, schemies. ScottishMummy tickles my funny bone most days and I'm not ashamed to admit, I've got a bit of a cyber girl-crush on her.

I don't even care if I am B U.

Duh! Don't you get it? Its amusing and heartwarming because SM does NOT care!

It is not a smarmfest....

She is indifferent to our blandishments, or otherwise.

Fliight · 14/04/2010 20:02

Don't give me that...I suspect she cares, a lot! But it's her prerogative to tell us all she doesn't, of course.

mummysgoingmad · 14/04/2010 20:04

well i

MadameDefarge · 14/04/2010 20:04

well, she might, but I honestly believe she doesn't, and as MN is just a construct of my imagination, as are all the people here, I'm sticking with that.

kittywise · 14/04/2010 20:05

It's still well creepy whatever she thinks or doesn't think
( shudder)

AnyFucker · 14/04/2010 20:06

a-ha, at last...a poster with taste and refinement

mummysgoingmad, I salute you !

Fliight · 14/04/2010 20:08

Creepy in what way Kitty?

Fliight · 14/04/2010 20:10

Magaly, I think I see it the same whomever it's directed at.

TiggyR · 14/04/2010 20:10

Hang on, can't really remember. Need to do a quick search of ScottishMummy's pearls of wit and wisdom and will return forthwith holding an opinion. Hopefully something might ring a bell.

MadameDefarge · 14/04/2010 20:19

well, SM and I have had massive old fallings out on threads, and then sometimes we stand shoulder to shoulder on issues.

If nothing else, she is a sterling example of not holding grudges across threads.

TiggyR · 14/04/2010 20:40

Just had a quick skim through some random posts (harder work than it sounds - I gave up having not really got to the heart of her) and yeah, she seems perfectly lovely, in an obvious George Clooney and Brad Pitt kinda way. I can see why you'd like her. Objectively. But she's no Bruce Willis. I've got a couple of Bruce Willises on here but I'm not telling. No really, I'm not. Then again I've got a couple of John McCriricks on here as well - charmless and revolting.

kittywise · 14/04/2010 20:49

Hmm, well I think sycophantic behaviour is creepy full stop. Why anyone feels the need to openly announce their admiration for someone for hasn't actually done anything else is beyond me. Different story if someone is a great philanthropist say, but for swearing at people and being generally acerbic on an internet chat forum....... NO.
Why would you want loads of people to know that you feel this way about someone else? People only do that sort of declaration stuff in public ceremonies, marriage for example
If you admire someone one, tell them in person.

daftpunk · 14/04/2010 20:54

KW;

Lighten up...it's all a bit of a joke, you know....taking our minds off politics and the heavy stuf....we don't genuinely love each other...

AnyFucker · 14/04/2010 20:57

does scottishmummy swear ? I don't recall her swearing much at all...

itsmeitsmeolord · 14/04/2010 21:00

Agree totally with KW. In fact, I love you KW and am feeling the need to start a thread about it.
But I won't. Because actually that would be rather arse-licky.
And we all know that MumsNet is never arse-licky.

MadameDefarge · 14/04/2010 21:03

erh, kitty, if you need it deconstructing, then SM has been a regular and consistent contributer to MN. So in this context she has a presence. But it is just words on screen, I cannot tell her in person, or does the concept of interaction on a forum elude you?
And she does not swear.

And its a bloody (look, I swore) internet forum, we can say what we like. Including, shock, horror, that we like another poster's style.

daftpunk · 14/04/2010 21:07
MadameDefarge · 14/04/2010 21:07

oh, get over yourselves. What's the harm in a lighthearted, tongue in cheek thread saying something nice about someone else?

MadameDefarge · 14/04/2010 21:09

slapper. But strangely attractive. For words on a screen. Oh, alright, cheap, meaningless sex it is then.

daftpunk · 14/04/2010 21:35

lol...

Hope you're good MD, haven't seen you for a while

AnyFucker · 14/04/2010 21:43

what is this love-fest

DP and MD sitting in a tree....

MadameDefarge · 14/04/2010 21:47

Ah well, AF,life, innit, though?

AnyFucker · 14/04/2010 21:50

am jealous really...

MadameDefarge · 14/04/2010 21:54

Oh, I'd snog you any day, AF. DP doesn't love me, you saw what she said. The meeting of true minds blows meaningless sex out of the water...

AnyFucker · 14/04/2010 22:23

I am not cheap though
