The title says it all really. This afternoon I was out with dd and this woman of about 30 just pulled down her trousers and had a piss in the middle of the playground.

There was lots of shouting and gesticulating at her but she didn't seem to care.

The police were called and she was given a fixed penalty notice and a caution.

She was stone cold sober.

Maybe she was just common?

fallon8 · 08/04/2010 18:51

Its called care in the community, sweetie, doesnt exist, but it might during the election.

lolapoppins · 08/04/2010 18:52

At least she wore a pad, my dh worked as security at gigs when he was a student and said that lots of girls would just pee where they were standing so not to lose their place at the barrier.

rhondajean · 08/04/2010 18:54

EEEEEWWWWWWWW!!!!

I used to go to football matches on a supporters bus and you always had to rush on to sit at the front as the lads peed down the back - and one time one of the girls did as well - I started driving myself shortly afterwards.

I wonder if woman in OP message was expressing an opinion of the school????

hf128219 · 08/04/2010 18:55

She carried on eating her ice cream afterwards and chatted to her kids. She was not homeless.

It was not me - and yes, she may had had mental health issues although she did not appear to (although of course I am aware many health issues are not obvious).

It was just mighty odd. It was more behaviour akin to a Friday night out on the town, not a sunny afternoon in the park.

Oh right park playground and not school playground, that will be a no then.

lolapoppins · 08/04/2010 18:58

Did her kids just carry on as if it were normal?

My ds would have died of shame on the spot.

nighbynight · 08/04/2010 19:02

I remember looking out of my window into the park in Plymouth, and seeing a man walking along, peeing as he went. Such a delightful lack of inhibition.

you just dont see these things in Bavaria...

IndigoSky · 08/04/2010 19:02

Did she dribble down her legs?

If not, she's probably had loads of practice at pissing al fresco.

Bleurgh.

nighbynight · 08/04/2010 19:03

good point lola - maybe her kids will slay her too when they get a bit older.

Fel1x · 08/04/2010 19:07

DH caught our milkman having a piss up against next doors garden fence

nighbynight · 08/04/2010 19:09

maybe they hadn't paid their milk bill?

skidoodly · 08/04/2010 19:21

When I was at college there were tales of a woman who had already graduated who used to go to parties and wee on the floor. She wore a maxi skirt and no pants and would just crouch down and take a wizz, often while chatting away to unsuspecting (or, I imagine, eventually suspecting) party goers.

princessparty · 08/04/2010 20:05

So did they caution and fine her in the playground?

scottishmummy · 08/04/2010 20:28

bizarre behaviour doesn't always=mental health.this notion that anything unsavoury/weird ah must be mental health is stereotypical and a bit lame

StrawberriesAndCherries · 08/04/2010 20:28

so many questions racing through my head....
how did she react to the polce?

SalFresco · 08/04/2010 20:29

I used to work for the police and I find it hard to believe that they turned up before everyone had gone home for tea!!

pmsl at "maybe they hadn't paid their milk bill"

SolidGoldBrass · 08/04/2010 20:35

I can understand someone being caught short enough to pee in the street, but usually people go behind a bush or something or in a phone box (more tricky with the new designs of course, the classic red ones were much the best for weeing in).

TheCatAteMyGymsuit · 08/04/2010 20:38

It's rank, pure and simple.
I love that any disparaging comments on any kind of, um, unusual behaviour are often met with the 'but maybe she has mental health/whatever' issues on MN.
Yet it's perfectly acceptable for some people to do a purple 'sad' face at the though of a baby being bottle fed.
I'm in the pissing in a park is rank camp.

GetOrfMoiLand · 08/04/2010 20:42

Oh god yes so right Scottishmummy.

Three posts in and she has already been diagnoised with mental health issues.

Can we not just judge people any more for being skanky?

I was at a festival in a seaside town once, and I woman who I knew (mum's friend, small town) just went off to the side, put her hot dog down, had a piss, then carried on eating her hotdog.

She was a normal woman, no issues or nothing, and was sober, she just couldn't be arsed to queue for the loos and thought pissing in a flower bed was a sensible optoion.

ironingisboring · 08/04/2010 20:42

I used to work at a mental illness unit and we had a lady who did the same - just anywhere she liked!!! I would nearly p*ss myself when she did it - hey ho - by the way where did they put the fixed penalty notice - on her bonnett???? .

No offence meant to anyone of any kind anywhere. xxxx

Northernlurker · 08/04/2010 20:47

I don't think there is much to discuss really is there?

This woman may or may not have a mental health diagnosis. She definately behaved in an unusual and socially unacceptable manner and due sanction was passed. I really don't think there is anything else to add and therefore this thread only exists to point the finger and condemn. I don't think anybody is actually going to post and say this was not 'mighty strange'!

ImSoNotTelling · 08/04/2010 21:04

Did she go over a drain or onto the spongy stuff?

hf128219 · 08/04/2010 21:05

There is a discussion - if you were caught short in the playground (and you didn't have mental health issues) would you

A) Have a piss where you were

or

B) Find a public loo

OP posts:
scottishmummy · 08/04/2010 21:10

naw, this has been talked to death.all permutations explored
