to not want DP to go in a lapdancing club on his mates stag do?

mummee09v · 28/03/2010 12:49

my dp is off on a stag night in a couple of months. its just a load of mates going out in town but there has been talk about them going in lapdancing bars.

i have laughed it off to my dp and tried to be the cool girlfriend about it and made out i couldnt care less as i dont want to seem controlling or jealous. i have even said i dont care if he has a private dance! because i want to come across as cool, as i know his ex used to stop him doing things and i dont want to be like that as he really resented her for it.

but i HATE the idea of it and know i will be furious if he does end up in one. the thought of him ogling some naked girl/s who will probably be a)younger then me b)prettier than me and c)have a better body than me (i have had 2 kids, say no more) kills me....i know that it would only be a laugh for them and nothing would happen other than them looking at the girls but i would be so jealous, coz how could he not compare their young fit bodies to my 30 year old, had-2-kids body?

so i am kind of testing him in a way by saying i dont care, and "allowing" him to go in one, but surely if he loved and fancied me as much as he says he does he wouldnt need to go look at sexy young girls?

also the stag's bride is my best friend (in fact i will be on her hen do the same night) and i know for a fact she would go nuts if she found out her husband to be had been in one as we have already spoken about it and she has the same insecurities as me.

Here we go here we go here we go

I think you two are made for each other.

5DollarShake · 30/03/2010 09:53

I am literally LOLing at the SAHM analogy!

How is two people who have entered into a loving and mutually satisfying relationship, and who have agreed on how best to run their families - one doing work that is paid in cash, and one doing work of equal value (and probably more - raising well-balanced, happy, future contributors to society) that is not paid in cash the same as a LDer getting a 20 stuffed in her thong?

I am not even a SAHM and I am at that!

LeQ - apologies, I misinterpreted your post but i think my reading of it was coloured by your 'swamppig' comment earlier, which is now old ground which I won't retread. I just don't buy into the idea of 'competition' or 'lack of competition' with other women's bodies. What are we, pieces of meat to be graded by men and each other? However much I hate LD clubs I wouldn't denigrate other women on the basis of their 'cellulite' or anything else. I don't chose to look at others in those terms.

Gay40 - Jesus what a bitch!

30 pages of a depressing and quite nasty thread for my first post back.

My DD (20) works as a waitress to fund her Uni life, she makes more in tips than her actual wages and she doesn't degrade herself by parading around semi naked in front of leering, vile men.
She is tipped very well because she does a damn good job and it's her personality that shines through rather than the size of her tits - she's extremely pretty and could no doubt make a fortune lap dancing - thankfully we've brought her up better than that.

Men who go to these places are dick-heads and the women who work there may as well be prostitutes, it's about as dignified.

Molesworth · 30/03/2010 11:04

gay40 and daftpunk

jesus

starbug23 · 30/03/2010 11:09

Gay40 - You should be barred from this site.

How dare you think that you can just pigeon hole SAHM's like that? The vast majority of COUPLES decide to have a family TOGETHER and make a JOINT decision about who should stay at home, this is more often than not the Mother because of breast feeding, maternal instinct, lower wages etc. etc.

I am shocked and disgusted that in these modern times you assume SAHM are some how 'kept' women and liken them to protitutes. You have no place on this forum nor in civilised society. Go and crawl back under the rock from whence you came.

Hullygully · 30/03/2010 11:10

I think Gay40 is quite hot.

BitOfFun · 30/03/2010 11:10

I'm beginning to think that all long threads on here have a lifespan which inevitably ends up degenerating. People see the large number of pages and can't be arsed to read it, so wade in with repetitious or downright ignorant shite, and then as the whole thing disintegrates into pantomime, LeQueen sees an opportunity to play out her comedic marriage skit, the least politically-conscious lesbian in the world arrives, and then daftpunk tries to make it all about her. All we need is that idiot Neversomethingorother to try their pseudo-surrealist schtick, and we'll have the full set- or did they show up earlier? Blimey, even I'm hankering after the good old days when you could apparently just have a coherent debate- and I wasn't even bloody here then!
