AIBU to expect my dh to do as he's told.

I am frantically getting ready to go on holiday and I have asked dh many times to top up dd's mobile on-line. I asked him again 5 minutes ago and he said OK.

I just walked past him while he was sitting at the computer and instead of topping up the phone he was looking at pictures of Katie Price.

AIBU to pinch him really hard.

YANBU to pinch him hard for looking at pictures of Katie Price

Tee2072 · 27/03/2010 10:12

'To do as he's told'? What is he, a child?

shockers · 27/03/2010 10:18

YANBU... go and pinch him again!

PeedOffWithNits · 27/03/2010 10:20

I think he needs to see a Dr TBH - not only does he have problems with his ears but obviously his eyes have something wrong with them too if he is looking at KP

SouthMum · 27/03/2010 10:26

Pinch his scrotum.....

DramaInPyjamas · 27/03/2010 10:26

Pics of Katie Price?! YANBU!
Are there still people out there who actually think that she is attractive?

shockers · 27/03/2010 10:27

{grin} southmum

pjmama · 27/03/2010 10:33

Good hard smack round the back of the head should jolt him out of it

UnquietDad · 27/03/2010 10:37

Hmm, imagine if a man posted "what do I have to do to get my wife to do as she is told, she's sitting at the computer drooling over Johnny Depp instead" and someone suggested (even in jest) "give her a smack round the head"?

Oh, sorry, I forgot, men are just useless and violence towards them is funny.

Odd, isn't it, how the usual excitable feminists don't come on these threads to protest equality in these cases?...

BoffinMum · 27/03/2010 10:42

I am protesting equality UQD.

In Ariel, the BBC in-house newsletter, there was a woman in once moaning on about how men didn't have any emotional intelligence which meant it was a lot better working with women.

I would have happily given her a good old slap given half a chance.

maristella · 27/03/2010 10:43

what UnquietDad said.
imagine if he was going to raise a hand to you for drooling over a wrong un and not obeying....

TrinityIsFuckingTrying · 27/03/2010 10:44

what unquietdad said

tortoiseonthehalfshell · 27/03/2010 10:46

No, I'm with you too, UQD. I just didn't get to this thread within the first 10 posts

tortoiseonthehalfshell · 27/03/2010 10:48

Sorry, the emoticon was supposed to be for "excitable feminist". FFS.

BessieBoots · 27/03/2010 10:50

What unquiet dad said. But with sympathy for KP-drooling- I actually think that's a bit horrible.

BoffinMum · 27/03/2010 10:50

Will that do?

maristella · 27/03/2010 11:00

if you're fantically trying to get ready for holiday maybe MNing could hinder you?

tartyhighheels · 27/03/2010 11:02

katie price - yes that needs a pinch - how tawdry

BoffinMum · 27/03/2010 11:02

It's so she doesn't beat her DH up with the lappie.

BoffinMum · 27/03/2010 11:03

If you poked Katie Price with a pin, do you think she would whizz around the room and deflate?

Tiredmumno1 · 27/03/2010 11:04

Fgs that woman is so nasty what is it with men, go and buy him some fake boobs, it might distract him from that awful woman
And defo pinch him lol make sure it hurts

UnquietDad · 27/03/2010 11:07

You'll see I struggled to find a suitably himbo equivalent of Pricey Kate

Tiredmumno1 · 27/03/2010 11:12

Lol @ maristella. She has a point is mumnet not hindering you. So if he is on the comp how did you put a message up and make sure you dont forget anything when packing. Have a great time

thesunshinesbrightly · 27/03/2010 19:23

Reasonable to pinch him, but not for, not topping up your daughter's phone, just for looking at that vile creature

junglist1 · 27/03/2010 19:33

Don't punch him, just flick him.
