I jsut find Shappi#s delivery a bit 'pronounced'. like she thinks it's a 'style' but it really doesn't work for me. Material is great though!

BitOfFun · 16/03/2010 22:39

DP and I saw John Bishop at the Empire- he was fantastic.

iwastooearlytobeayummymummy · 16/03/2010 22:40

Also got a rather "but i'm old enough (just about) to be his mother" crush on Russell Howard

Valpollicella · 16/03/2010 22:40

Black Books all the way Brit I do get the urge to drink copius amounts of red wine and smoke lots while watching it though

tethersend · 16/03/2010 22:41

Jerry Sadowitz- the funniest man I have ever seen. And by far the most offensive.

Also love Tim Vine for his brilliant one-liners.

So many bad comedians, the list would be too long.

stillenacht · 16/03/2010 22:41

oh yes iwas...goes without saying hmmmm....

PommePoire · 16/03/2010 22:42

ShowOfHands; we're so wierd.
and i think he did [rhod gilbert], but in his current standup [went to see him last month]
he says he's been chucked out. dont know whether to believe him. he's so chilled out when you meet him in person!

I love

Fry and Laurie (ok, so I'm old - still makes me giggle when I see a sign for Uttoxeter...)
Sean Hughes
Eddie Izzard
Alan Davies (his routine about the Queen Mother's bionic hips has me weeping with laughter)
Richard Herring
Dara O'Briain
Gina Yashere - she's great live
Shappi Khorsadi
Chris Lynam
Jeff Innocent
Victoria Wood
Andy Parsons
Russell Howard
Lee Hurst
Milton Jones

I hate

Junior Simpson - he's just not funny and he reacts to heckling by having security throw out the hecklers. Wanker.
Jimmy Carr - not edgy, not ironic, just twattish

And I have to say I didn't like Linda Smith - although she was very clever and witty she had such a massive chip on her shoulder I just couldn't warm to her.

PommePoire · 16/03/2010 22:44

Oooh, yes Kath and Kim, so funny. Thanks for the memories!

Valpollicella · 16/03/2010 22:44

Loved Summer Heights High

Dawn French's interview with Russell Brand made me stop and actually listen to him and realise he's really not just a tight trouser wearing fop.

Here

Valpollicella · 16/03/2010 22:50

hahaha Britfish

Fave quote is 'no one is prepared to admit that wine just tatses like wine'

ShowOfHands · 16/03/2010 22:51

Which one of you bitches wants to dance? Hey you know when you're doing your usual threesome thing you do of a weekend, and the moonlight's bouncing off your heads and your arses and everything, does that not get a bit confusing?

DH and I also have leather-bound pounds.

Spaced, Black Adder, Peep Show, excellent.

specialmagiclady · 16/03/2010 22:51

Zach Gelakifinados (SP??) made me laugh so much once that I lay on the floor of the Palladium gurgling "make him stop, make him stop".

But when I look on Youtube he's not funny. Maybe it was something about that night.

I HEART Frankie Boyle, but only on MTW where his humour is tempered by the more gentle offerings of Howard, O'Briean etc.

Saw Alun Cochrane at Edinburgh this year and he was terribly funny.

iwastooearlytobeayummymummy · 16/03/2010 22:53

Also I love everything about Gavin and Stacey (sorry off topic I know) and Outnumbered
Simpsons
Malcolm in the Middle
Father Ted
Peep show

dillydallydolly · 16/03/2010 22:53

Not Going Out - Lee Mack.. i
