Love Omid! Bellydance!!!!

junglist1 · 16/03/2010 22:26

Hate Jimmy Carr. He insults the audience in a really nasty way

Valpollicella · 16/03/2010 22:28

I think he tries to be a post modernist 'Bernard Manning' type comedian Junglist

And fails spectacularly. As anyone should if they are of that vein of comedian

WickedWench · 16/03/2010 22:28

Bill Bailey was the best live. Absolutely fantastic. Billy Connolly was ok but much of his routine I'd heard before, still funny with the ad lib stuff though. Saw Peter Kay a few years ago and I laughed so much it hurt but I wouldn't go again.

Have also seen Rich Hall who does QI sometimes. He was very good. Apparently Moe the bartender in the Simpsons is based on him.

Have got tickets for Frankie Boyle in November. Can't wait!

Oh God BarryKent - I am glad I never heard them. (I have disabled child although he does not have DS - my boy has severe autism). What an idiot that Carr man is.

Gracie123 · 16/03/2010 22:28

Agree that Shappi is very funny.

I used to like Jimmy Carr, but find him pretty offensive now too. I love Sean Lock and Dara O Braian too.

SirBoobAlot · 16/03/2010 22:29

Dislike Lee Evans - he's too sweaty < boak > and utterly un-funny.

Love Dara O'Briain though, am going to see him Good Friday, really looking forward to it

Kbear · 16/03/2010 22:29

I love BOB DOWNE and I'm not ashamed to say it!

Bob

BritFish · 16/03/2010 22:29

Rhod Gilbert
David Mitchell and Robert Webb
Stillenacht, i fancy both of them , which is so extremely wierd i just had to tell you.

Stewart Lee.
oh and it is SO buisness time.

Ross Noble live is amazing, and if any of you get the oppertunity, even if youve never seen any of his stuff, do it. his audience banter is priceless.

Jimmy Carr,
Rhod Gilbert,
Alan Carr,
Julian Clary,
Victoria Wood,

French and Saunders,
Paul Merton,
Jenny Eclair,
Sean Locke,
Eddie Izzard,
Andy Parsons,

Don't like,
Bill Bailey,
Milton Jones,
Lee Evans,
Ohmid Djalili,
Chubby Brown,
Jim Davidson,
The Pub Landlord

ShowOfHands · 16/03/2010 22:30

Oh yes Marcus Brigstocke, seen him live. Like his stand up dvd when he's talking about his prick of a neighbour.

Tim Minchin is ridiculously talented.

Also like Victoria Wood.

Linda Smith, I agree.

I abhor Jim Davidson with every fibre of my being.

BoF did you see John Bishop on Jonathan Ross talking about breaking into comedy?

Valpollicella · 16/03/2010 22:30

Wickedwench, I saw BB a few years ago now and can't help but think of him every time I hear the BBC 10 o clock the tune

here

stillenacht · 16/03/2010 22:32

Britfish - that made me lol!!

Although I couldn't push myself to fancy David Mitchell...although Alexander Armstrong..hmm I think I could....

Valpollicella · 16/03/2010 22:32

Theme even...

GetOrfMoiLand · 16/03/2010 22:33

I too have a crush on Ray Barone. How did that happen?

GetOrfMoiLand · 16/03/2010 22:34

Bugger I meant Ray Romano.

BritFish · 16/03/2010 22:34

oh, and female comedians.
Sarah Silverman, Sarah Millican, Shappi Korsandi all good.
Sarah Silverman is pure evil in a good way.

I cannot STAND Jo Brand. no. get off my screen you unfunny woman. Little Britain and Catherine Tate are over and done with, thats style just isnt funny.
and Kevin Bishop. why either of these two were given shows of their own i dont know. i worry about the world sometimes.

oh and my mum met Rhod Gilbert and fancies him something rotten. she has a picture of them together on her phone and keeps showing random people!

stillenacht · 16/03/2010 22:35

I know - same here!!!. It hit me this morning at about 7.40! (Channel 4 from 7.30 - I am there every morning!)

ShowOfHands · 16/03/2010 22:35

Thoughts of David Mitchell keep me awake at night.

junglist1 · 16/03/2010 22:35

My Marcus's scooby doo impression is the best.

ShowOfHands · 16/03/2010 22:36

Doesn't Rhod Gilbert share a flat with Chris Corcoran?

notquitenormal · 16/03/2010 22:36

Female comics I like are Jo Brand, Isy Suttie, Jo Enwrite, Sarah Millican, Holly Walsh, The smack the pony girls. Shappie Khorsandi's delivery is getting better.

Can't stand Lucy Porter, Gina Yashere or Jo Caulfield.

Males I like at the moment are Dara O'Brein, The boosh boys, Bill Baily, Sean Lock, Rhod Gilbert, Marcus Brigstock, Tim Michin...and many more

Can't bear Rory Bremner, Jimmy Carr and, for some reason, I've never laughed at a Canadian comic.
