Very gently explain to him that it is too strong for small people and will make their tummies explode and all their entrails will fall out.
He can have some when he is a working man and can buy his own... for now he will have to make do with jam.

meatntattypie · 13/03/2010 10:30

Call the police, have him arrested next time he touches the jar, the sooner you nip this one in the bud, the sooner he will learn just what is out of bounds by law.

tortoiseonthehalfshell · 13/03/2010 10:32

shockers, you made me snort with laughter. Husband: '...mumsnet again?'.

BUT.

LadyEvenstar, YABVU. Peanut butter is horrible. I do not allow it in my house.

StayingDavidTennantsGirl · 13/03/2010 10:53

Hush your mouth, tortoise - enough with the blasphemy please!! Peanut butter is yummy, and I am going to go and make myself toast and peanut butter right now!

kando · 13/03/2010 11:01

asda have it on 3 for 2 I think - 2 for you, 1 for him? I enjoy a bit of peanut butter on toast but dd3 loves the stuff - EVERY DAY she has a peanut butter sandwich with a couple of slices of cheese "on the side" [yuck]. I have also caught her scooping it out with her fingers and shovelling it in her gob (and then smearing it all over my kitchen but that's another story!) I'm seriously going to have to wean her off before she starts school in September!

PiratePrincess · 13/03/2010 11:05

Asda? Peanut butter?

Yeeeeuch.

shockers · 13/03/2010 11:06

Just had 3 slices.... mmmmmm

3 for 2 is 3 for you and jam for him.

2shoes · 13/03/2010 11:07

asda peanut butter is actually the best one(says mother of a PB addict)

shockers · 13/03/2010 11:07

I thought that PP but it might not be own brand.

tortoiseonthehalfshell · 13/03/2010 11:07

See, me and PiratePrincess, we know what's what.

Not peanut butter, that's what.

shockers · 13/03/2010 11:08

Whole Earth is luvverly.

shockers · 13/03/2010 11:08

On celery.

minkulus · 13/03/2010 11:14

Oh you wicked women! I am on bed rest (pregnant) and there is NO peanut butter in the house and guess what I am craving now thanks to your wicked talk........

youremindmeofthebabe · 13/03/2010 11:17

mm, peanut butter cups. I love those things. Would be better if the peanut butter in them was crunchy.

Pumphreydidit · 13/03/2010 11:18

Artfully place dead houseflies in the peanut butter jar. That will stop your ds from stealing it.

TheLadyEvenstar · 13/03/2010 11:18

oooppss have i made y'all want peanut butter?? hee hee

shockers · 13/03/2010 11:19

Aha... you're working for a PB company and this was a marketing ploy... I bet sales have doubled this morning.

TheLadyEvenstar · 13/03/2010 11:20

is there a recipe for peanut butter cups?

i would always be making them would have to as i would end up eating them before anyone else got to

OP posts:
BustleInYourHedgerow · 13/03/2010 11:20

On celery with raisins.

shockers · 13/03/2010 11:20

Raisins... interesting...

TheLadyEvenstar · 13/03/2010 11:21

Shockers, i would be sacked on the first day haha i would be openening the jars, scooping out the PB and eating it then resealing jars...nobody would ever be able to purchase a full jar again without my fingers having been dipped in it
