scottishmummy · 25/01/2010 21:13

Potato scone

They're much nicer than hash browns and have a different taste and texture. They're lovely when eaten as part of a full breakfast or in a morning roll or on plain bread.

glasgowlass · 25/01/2010 21:21

They are quite nice cold, covered in butter too. best fried though. want one now, may have to pop to tesco to get me some.

scottishmummy · 25/01/2010 21:21

tattie scone smashing fried, served on morning roll with brown sauce

most unlike hash boren.savoury and thin. potato, flour ,salt.buy in packets same time as morning rolls

fruitshootsandheaves · 25/01/2010 21:23

would that be a sc 'own'

or a sc 'on'?

LetThereBeRock · 25/01/2010 21:23

I have some Greggs' potato scones in the freezer. I wonder how quickly I could defrost them?

Mumcentreplus · 25/01/2010 21:24

Thanks for the info ladies..I've seen those in Sainsburys

LetThereBeRock · 25/01/2010 21:24

glasgowlass · 25/01/2010 21:25

scottishmummy · 25/01/2010 21:26

FrameyMcFrame · 25/01/2010 21:36

the OP came back and said she's not fuking off to netmums after all!!!

she said did anyone know where she's coming from???

But then everyone just ignores her and talks about potato scones and morning rolls!

I think that's quite passive agressive..

LetThereBeRock · 25/01/2010 21:41

But potato scones are so good!

FrameyMcFrame · 25/01/2010 21:43

ok, fair enough

I like those Irish potato cakes a lot.

SpeedyGonzalez · 25/01/2010 21:44

What an odd thread. It's a bit like saying 'AIBU after spending a year living on Fray Bentos pies, to go to India and find the food overwhelmingly tasty?'

How very strange.

LetThereBeRock · 25/01/2010 21:45

Are those just larger potato scones or some rather different but equally delicious?

LetThereBeRock · 25/01/2010 21:45

Something not some.

FrameyMcFrame · 25/01/2010 21:52

yes I think they are large potato scones, go lovely witha nice cuppa tea and a sausage.

TiggyR · 25/01/2010 21:56

At least the coffee thread is good natured, and humorous if a bit poncey, but only in a self-deprecating way. Now if you want a really depressing bitchy read go the the WashWithCare's cleaning thread. then you'll know for sure you a back at MN!

scottishmummy · 25/01/2010 22:19

framey quite the conspiracy theorist aren't you. dem tattie scones used as a battering ram of passive aggression.that is really going some

pissinmy2shoes · 25/01/2010 22:24

did she go?

scottishmummy · 25/01/2010 22:25
