Please bear in mind that I'm 23 weeks PG with DC5 and fairly hormonal atm, but really need to vent.

I need a new microwave, so today visited 5 big electrical stores. My needs are very simple, large capacity (over 21L) for large family & sterliser.
High wattage (cheaper and quicker for sterilising bottles).
Don't need combination or grill as they just confuse the older DC's and DH.
Would just like 2 dials, 1 for time, the other for power.
Didn't really want an LCD display as DH has eco issues about turning off anything that has lights at night (not a bad thing really, but it does mean I have to reset the time every morning as I turn it back on, and I couldn't cope with having a blank time bit (my personal issue.))

Aaaaarggh, it doesn't exist! Everything a decent size comes with at least 15 buttons, even for a bog standard wont grill your sausages one! I feel like I'm trying to land a jumbo jet pushing all those buttons.
I'm a plain and simple hormonal gal who just wants a simple life.

yanbu at all. This was exactly how I felt when I recently bought a new washing machine. I only ever used 2 programmes and didnt want an all singing/dancing one. I went for the simplest one I could find!

Thankyou Seona1973. I actually went in there today with my Closer to Nature steriliser in a bag, it completely fills the cavity and wanted at least 900w so it takes less time to sterilise.
Ended up with this one http://www.currys.co.uk/martprd/store/cur_page.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@1720770102.1264025201@@@@&BV_Eng ineID=ccceadejgjedledcflgceggdhhmdfhm.0&page=Product&fm=null&sm=null&tm=null&sku=772588&category_oid =
Did try telling hubby I was too hormonal to make a decision, but he said "I'm not leaving without one so choose!"
It was a bargain, but have told DH and older DC's I won't reply to messages on my mobile saying "How do I cook so&so in the microwave?" or even in RL at home. They can go read the bloomin flight manual!!!!!
