I could put a couple of those up for sale if any one wants one .

i was just reminiscing today about my friend using her mums best silver (family heirloom) tray to sledge on when we were younger. She was in so much trouble

SixtyFootDoll · 10/01/2010 20:29

Someone else is selling a tin tray as an 'alternative' sledge.

We were using DS2's old 'little tikes police motor bike' as our alternative sledge, was great!

"Winter Fun Seat"

foxinsocks · 10/01/2010 20:33

lol it is very good marketing

I'm not sure their base is smooth is it (the car seat)?

nickytwotimes · 10/01/2010 20:33

It were a plastic bag in my day...

foxinsocks · 10/01/2010 20:34

It's the first time I've been to Box Hill Royalty! There were skiers and snow boarders but plenty of people in recycling boxes and bin bags!

LowLevelWhingeing · 10/01/2010 20:35

"OR CAN BE USED FOR CHILD CAR SEAT"

no shit

Heqet · 10/01/2010 20:36

bin liner. Can't beat it. I used to get a cracking speed up as a child on a plain old bin liner.

BertieBotts · 10/01/2010 20:36

Hehe someone obviously has been listening to my ideas about how to reuse old car seats - well, they're not recyclable and difficult to sell as you're not supposed to buy second hand.

GrimmaTheNome · 10/01/2010 20:37

Does nowhere sell proper sledges now?
(smug after an afternoon in the park whizzing along on DHs Davos sledge, over 40 years old and still going strong.)

borderslass · 10/01/2010 20:38

lol anything to make money

holliejobber · 10/01/2010 20:39

Someone snapped off the lid to my wheelie bin the other day andim sure it was to sledge on...not impressed.

SixtyFootDoll · 10/01/2010 20:41

ruebenjames · 10/01/2010 20:44

Bugger, and I told dd we don't have a sledge to play out on, and there was one in the car all along....

seeker · 10/01/2010 20:49

Blue rubble sacks from Pundland. Brilliant.

cakewench · 10/01/2010 21:01

Bin liner!! That's what I used as a youth in the US..

Morloth · 10/01/2010 21:12

We used to use the bonnet off an old car on the sand dunes - don't know it would work on snow...

Sometimes am surprised I made it too adulthood.

SixtyFootDoll · 10/01/2010 21:14

We were thinking of using the lid off our roof top box, but would be expensive to replace it!
