The road is still snowed up and there is a trail of plenty of blood outside the house.... we followed it to check there wasn't someone half dead at the other end and it leads to the village police station which is reassuring, but there is a lot- took us tenminutes tofollow the route.

It's a quietish road with only houses on one side and we don't have double glazing so amrather shocked we didn't hear anything, did hear what seemed to be students chatting at midnight but nothing untoward.

Haven't take the boys out as can't even get to car without it looking like an episode from a cheap copshow, there's nothing on news but-

Ugh. Ugh ugh ugh, that's horrid, sorry for you. I'd be freaked out too.

Can you tell yourself/boys someone slipped in the ice and cut their head open and walked to the police station for help? Iknow it doesn't sound that likely if there's loads but sometimes a little denial helps, if there isn't anything you can do about reality!!

Ugh. Tea and for you.

edam · 10/01/2010 18:14

Have a look at your local force's website under press releases, you might find something there.

maristella · 10/01/2010 18:16

that's really grim - i bet it looks shocking

PeachyWillNeverVoteBNP · 10/01/2010 18:22

Edam I did try and tell them that but when we setting off for a walk I noticed ds1 had equipped himself with what appeared to be full CSi gear so I abandoned that sharpish .......

I willlook at force press releases, it probably is a drunk fall orsoemthing (lots of pubs locally) but- yuck

Oh Peachy...
Am in work tomorrow see if I can find out anyhting
((taps nose))

zanz1bar · 10/01/2010 18:28

I let my Dc go crazy with some squirty bottles filled with food colouring on the snow.
suprise, suprise they used the red dye only and the garden looks like a csi crime scene now. It will probably freak out the school run driverrs tomorrow morning..

fortyplus · 10/01/2010 18:35

Ok - it will either be a dog that's cut its paw on some broken glass or someone with a nasty nosebleed. Nothing to worry about, I'm sure.

LauraIngallsWilder · 10/01/2010 18:37

Ewwww!
I hope the person concerned is ok

my car was covered in blood one morning, it looked like arterial spray up the side and a big puddle on the boot - and there was a trail leading for miles with the occasional bloody handprint here and there suggesting the person had fallen over from time to time

told the police but never found out who it was or the cause/extent of their injuries

typically was first time car had been washed for a YEAR too

PeachyWillNeverVoteBNP · 11/01/2010 08:10

Sorry but MI the last line of your post did make melaugh (somewhat inappropriately probably)

Sixty Foot Doll- did wonder if you'd see this.

Did think about clearing it up bt wandering around the village (and its right around, not just down the road) removing a trail ofblood in the morning half lighth seemed... unusual behaviour, shall we say?

OP posts:
kreecherlivesupstairs · 11/01/2010 08:56

Mitchy. How would you know about arterial spray? Peachy, I wouldn't like it outside my house but, your snow will soon melt. Won't it?

MitchyInge · 11/01/2010 09:30

think have read too many books about serial killers kreecher

DaftApeth · 11/01/2010 09:43

Think you should go outside and put some body-shaped tape around it. It'll make it more interesting for any passers-by

PeachyWillNeverVoteBNP · 11/01/2010 11:07

Snow is ice and more predicted (a bit this morning),nothing seems to be shifting ehre LOL(been there since Tuesday). But,it is fading with time and kids today weren't noticing so thats a positive (blood on school parking area run a Bad Thing LOL)

LynetteScavo · 11/01/2010 11:13

Are you looking at this the right way round?

You followed the blood to the police station....but how do you know someone didn't leave the police station bleeding and wonder off aroudn the village?

And where on earth do villages still have police stations? I thought they were all closed down in the 80's? Does the local bobby ride around on his bike?

PeachyWillNeverVoteBNP · 11/01/2010 11:19

No Bobby on bike LOL,we'rea borderline village-town in SE Wales but I guess the police station is something to dowith either the Uni,its repas a stag night venue (!) or I reckon most likely the large number ofrich types here (not me btw)

Only thing down that lane is police station so either they ended up there or police gave them a beating.... know which seems more likely LOL (and other end is very close to pubs)

There was a trail of blood in dd's school today. Not a lot mind you, but you could see that someone had dripped blood on the snow along the trail he/she had walked.

meltedchocolate · 11/01/2010 11:51

This could well just be a prank... try not to worry.

ChilloSTOPFOLLOWINGMEhippi · 11/01/2010 12:04

Maybe you could ring the police station and say you are concerned.

PeachyWillNeverVoteBNP · 11/01/2010 14:50

'S OK,posting on MN is same thing for me LOL

OP posts:
nannynobnobs · 11/01/2010 14:53

Intriguing and worrying! i'm glad I'm not the only one who has to follow the blood till the end. Saw one that started in the road a few weeks ago, and went on dribbling all the way up the street before finishing in the road again!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 11/01/2010 14:57

suddenly wondered if you were near me for a moment. dd and I fascinatedly followed drips of blood into town on Friday. Was most odd. Sometimes they would lead into a drive way and we thought that whoever it was had got home safely but then the trail would pick up again.

makes you wonder how much blood just generally lies about on streets!

BelleDameSansMerci · 11/01/2010 15:01

Peachy sorry to hijack your thread but would that be Welsh policemen - swoon

PeachyWillNeverVoteBNP · 11/01/2010 16:15
