The road is still snowed up and there is a trail of plenty of blood outside the house.... we followed it to check there wasn't someone half dead at the other end and it leads to the village police station which is reassuring, but there is a lot- took us tenminutes tofollow the route.

It's a quietish road with only houses on one side and we don't have double glazing so amrather shocked we didn't hear anything, did hear what seemed to be students chatting at midnight but nothing untoward.

Haven't take the boys out as can't even get to car without it looking like an episode from a cheap copshow, there's nothing on news but-

Could it have been a nose bleed, blood tends to spread in the snow as its warm.

Don;t worry. I have come to the conclusion that there is often blood about but we just don't see it when there is no snow.

I saw two separate trails of blood in the snow over the chrsitmas holidays and I don't think I have ever seem blood on my estate before.

I reckon it's all those folk whose noses bleed a lot. You remember how thre was always a serial nose-bleedeer in every class at school.
