Just had a call to say my Gran has fallen and broken both her wrists on the untreated pavements...paths round us are a nightmare, too...so am having a facist moment and thinking people being kept by the government could 'pay some back' by clearing footpaths...

PMSL 2snowshoes

Doleys is sucha great term, remindsme of growing up in seventies somerset, thankfully allof the other phrases that have the same effect are banned fromMN so one can only hope for ac omplete set....

Personally I think we should attach gritters to the topof wheelchairs and make their usersearn their handouts. And my asd boys could probably strew a fair buit too if we can get them spinning.....

No?

southeastastra · 08/01/2010 22:32

i tried to clear my path earlier, had to whack it with a hammer. not the easiest of jobs

personally i'd get the local councillors to do it as a good deed. imagine how many more voted they'd get

Always looking, surely the children of dole bludgers should be out shovelling the snow too?

Or we could use the OP's burning self righteousness to melt the snow for miles around?

PeachyWillNeverVoteBNP · 08/01/2010 22:36

Wellabsolutely 2 shoes, gld to see the right attitude there!

Dh gets s student grant (yes he is that person....) so i'vegothim digging out salt cellars, and I think there may be a spade from the beach to earn my Carers Allowance too.

And the exervise might burn a few pouns off my lardy arse too, bonus!

LynetteScavo · 08/01/2010 22:37

mmrred - Why was your nan wondering about on the ice?

UnquetDad, I did't realise Germans had to keep thier drive and path clear, I thought they were all just cleaning freaks.

2snowshoes · 08/01/2010 22:37

pooexplosions couldn't you use your explosions?

FordCapri · 08/01/2010 22:38

For sure if they're not busy filling in job application forms or perusing the local job centre offerings.

coldtits · 08/01/2010 22:38

I think the poor sods on jobseekers would actually pounce on this if you offered them a fair wage for it

Job situ is very bad round here

2snowshoes · 08/01/2010 22:38

i forget cares allowance
We should all go out and earn our 17p an hour

TreeHuggerMum1 · 08/01/2010 22:38

I didn't man to offend anyone, by dolebum I meant people like my lazy ass brother who claims everything they can and lives the single life in a 2 bed council flat in a posh part of Devon and has done for the last decade. He has zero intention of working again until they stop his benefits and yes I do know he is a tosser.

But, they wouldn't have any time to sit on their fat, shiny arses watching sky all day. How will they frit it all in? There just aren't enough hours in the day.

Awassailinglookingforanswers · 08/01/2010 22:40

hmm - DS3 at 2 1/2yrs old shovelling snow - sorry ice - (we've not had much snow so by morning it's basically a sheet of ice on the pavement) that he can't even stand up LOL

PeachyWillNeverVoteBNP · 08/01/2010 22:41

Ahem, you get 34p coz you ahve only one disabled child (actually si your Dh disabled? Not sure)

It is only the genetically impaired such as I that get the permission to truly suffer in penance.

34p an hours islikeloads innit? You an but bread every day with thast and all sorts

sparklefrog · 08/01/2010 22:42

How about the govt creating temporary vacancies to clear the snow?

WinkyWinkola · 08/01/2010 22:42

I think it would be great if everyone did their best to clear snow and ice from the footpaths especially for the elderly and vulnerable. Don't stop at your own drive or piece of pavement. Keep going for an hour.

Even if you're not on the dole! [hmm}

PeachyWillNeverVoteBNP · 08/01/2010 22:42

treehugger welcome toMN induction by fire.

Nest time start with my lazy brother and you might get offlightly (but dont worry this sort of thing can be quite fun)

KurriKurri · 08/01/2010 22:42

Unless you've conducted a survey, how do you know all non-snow clearers are on benefits, or all people on benefits are non-snow clearers?

By the way I've taken way more than my share from the NHS recently, better get outside with my shovel.

FlightAttendant · 08/01/2010 22:42

So it's some random stranger who can't get a job atm's fault your Gran fell over? Or their fault it snowed?

Which is it?

Fascist moment is about right, fuck the fuck off.
