someone elses children are always more polite to you than your own, sex has nothing to do with it IMO

LastOfTheMulledWine · 21/12/2009 15:39

Some children are politer than others, just as some adults are politer than others. Nowt to do with gender.

Numberfour · 21/12/2009 15:44

i think VERY VERY generally speaking, little girls are more eager to please other people than boys are. so perhaps that is why they are usually more polite.

A HUGE GENERALIZATION NOT BASED ON ANY EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE AT ALL!!! just my opinion.

IMoveTheStarsForChristmas · 21/12/2009 15:44

YABU.

MaryMotherOfCheeses · 21/12/2009 15:45

"little girls are more eager to please other people than boys are"

Bleatblurt · 21/12/2009 15:47

YABU. Tis totally dependent on the person and nowt to do with girls being politer than boys.

piscesmoon · 21/12/2009 15:48

Some DCs are politer than other DCs-nothing whatever to do with gender.

wannaBe · 21/12/2009 15:48

yabu

But girls are much more bitchy than boys. So there.

lovechoc · 21/12/2009 15:48

yabu. it's more to do with personality not gender.

lovechoc · 21/12/2009 15:49

I would say that's true wannaBe

reservejudgement · 21/12/2009 15:57

YABU! I am always getting comments on how polite ds1 and ds2 are.

Mind you, never get the same with ds3, could be a 3rd child thing, Dragon?

jeep · 21/12/2009 16:08

my son is very polite, i remember once some girls knocked to play with him and he greeted them with a 'hello ladies'

ChickensHaveNoTinsel · 21/12/2009 16:10

YABU.

smokinaces · 21/12/2009 16:11

FolornHope · 21/12/2009 16:12

PlonkerTeatowelOnTheirHeads · 21/12/2009 16:12

Chrysanthemum5 · 21/12/2009 16:16

YABU, she was polite because you are not her Mum. I imagine your DS is very polite to other people

Numberfour · 21/12/2009 16:17

pile of wank! brilliant expression. mind if I use it, too?

mrmellors · 21/12/2009 17:12

I was like the female version of Kevin the Teenager when I was 16. Vile to my parents but all "oh hello Mrs Patterson, may I help with your shopping?" to anyone else.

JacksmamaInAPearTree · 21/12/2009 17:13

YABU. What a sexist statement to make.

YABU. I was an incredibly rude child (and some would say a rude adult too!). I am teaching DS to be polite. He is three and always says to the postman 'thank you, see you again soon'

pagwatch · 21/12/2009 17:29

YABU.
DS1 had beautiful manners. (DD does too btw)It is not gender based.
