i bought a few stamps, was with ds1 (11), she actually followed me to the front of the shop to say 'i hope you dont mind me saying but your top (i thought she was going to say she liked it) is very low cut and rather too revealing. i just wondered if you actually knew'

my face was like this and . i blustered something trying to make a joke of it but she made me feel a right wally and i'm pretty sure ds was embarassed as were the customers behind me!

wtf anyway?!! it wasnt like it was all hanging out for all to see. yes it was quite low cut and actually yes i did bloody know, i like it like that!!! am annoyed more about it now than i was when it happened as i was so embarassed.
dh thinks i should complain but not sure what to say or even if its worth it. did think it was unnecessary and rude tho. i wondered if she also comments on the slag tags and g strings on display in the shop usually. maybe i looked too classy to be intentionally displaying my cleavage lol!
wwyd?

I like to think that I would have retorted tartly that her tartan skirt was not exactly the height of fashion so perhaps she should keep her sartorial tips to herself.

Unfortunately in that situation I generally mumble and look at the floor.

Cheeky bint.

MrsMattie · 17/12/2009 12:46

lol! Sorry, but that is funny. She sounds unhinged. Following you to the front of the shop. PMSL

Will you have to face her again regularly? if yes, then I would complain. I'd go directly up to her and say firmly but politely (you know - in that 'I'm smiling but I hate you' type way):

'I didn't appreciate the way you spoke to me the other day. Please don't speak to me like that again or I will complain to your manager.'

belcantwait · 17/12/2009 12:46

lol! i always think of really good retorts just after the bloody events too {sigh}

are you not cold in this weather?

sorry, couldn't resist

rude woman

Iklboodolphtherednosereindeer · 17/12/2009 12:47

I would probably have said 'I hope you don't mind me saying but you are incredibly rude and I don't remember it being any of your business how I dress. HOW VERY DARE YOU'
And then asked to speak to her supervisor or write to complain. Or kicked her in the shins
It was unnecessary, rude and probably not in her job description.

belcantwait · 17/12/2009 12:48

she might be slightly unhinged- maybe its having to sort the xmas post and deal with festive customers. i have seen her loads of times , she always talks to me, just usual chit chat. no complete barminess before!!!

stubbornstains · 17/12/2009 16:55

This is the kind of thing that swearing was invented for....

stubbornstains · 17/12/2009 16:56

Oh no, you were with DS though (damn).

pagwatch · 17/12/2009 16:58

OK . Who has clicked on Belcanwaits profile to see if her norks are out?

potplant · 17/12/2009 17:02

LOL how funny. There's people go to the PO in their PJs round here and no-one passes comment (well not out loud anyway!)

Must be posh where you live.

hohoholepew · 17/12/2009 17:12

I hadn't until you mentioned it Pag, you're a bad influence.

Was there any nippage Bel?

mmelindt · 17/12/2009 17:16

ooooh, we do need a pic of belcantwait in said top before we can judge. Good point, Pagwatch.

potplant · 17/12/2009 17:29

I'm with mmelindt. We need to see how slutty revealing it is before deciding.

ImSoNotTelling · 17/12/2009 17:34

Sorry this made me ROFL

andlipsticktoo · 17/12/2009 17:46

BonjourIvressedeNoel · 17/12/2009 17:46
