I was always Narrator, and as for netball, I'm a born reserve (but yes, GK if allowed on the pitch or whatever it's called. Never touched a ball.)

At primary school I wasn't in the nativity (Dad in to his bloody religion and wouldn't allow it ). Was crap at PE in general and was very reluctantly allowed to be THIRD reserve in the netball team.

My 'friend' on the other hand was Angel Gabriel AND centre AND always won the best hat competition at Christmas and even won best hat at the silver jubilee party (can you see a theme here?). She was also blonde/had a load of boyfriends/padded cards/make up at a young age/fashionable clothes etc etc

Oh and a baby at 15

My dd (7) is Mary for the 2nd time in 3 yrs. First time was in hospital on breathing assistance due to flu
she has poor eyesight so netball future doomed, even as a spectator...
She is also petite.

DD was Mary in reception so I will let you know in a few years. She's been an angel for the last 2 years so she may end up left wing.

Ha! That's nothing. After my triumph as Tall Angel Gabriel (the long red ringlets went well with the yellow/gold Angel Gabriel outfit, whereas your rank and file angels were all in white/silver), I then went on to petrify the audience as Tall Death - yes, Death - in my first senior school drama outing. I was so peeved at being cast in that particular role that I barely needed the frightmask supplied with the costume.

(Also, RB hockey. County debating captain. Orchestra timpanist. All about the sturm und drang, me.)
