and then it's ignored, and either I have to repeat it, or then someone else comes and makes exactly the same point and everyone goes "oh yes, that's quite clever" "what a good and inciteful point" and so on. Maybe I should just type in caps?
So, AIBU?

Paggy - you said you'd left again, ashamed of your grubby corset. You will never be alone in these halls, darling, there is always someone at hand. Why even now the Princessa lies trussed at your feet, you may kick her if you wish, and the spirits of Lydia and Gerald are never far.

mayhap dear Gibbon and Tether will happen along shortly.

pagwatch · 16/12/2009 15:27

ah.Hully. I am soothed.

and my darling Gibbon.
Last time I offended her. But twas a foible of mine - omitting her name for fear my true feelings for the Gib will be revealed.

But hark. Bloody children. Again

Jamieandhismagictorch · 16/12/2009 19:29

Parp (). Captain, I have sighted land. A veritable land of milk, honey and mild S&M.

See, upon the shore stands a fair maiden with the mark of a cat-o-nine-tails on her back .........

PrincessFiorimonde · 16/12/2009 19:35

Am quite black and blue with all this kicking. No one warned me about That Hussy Hully and her hordes!

pagwatch · 16/12/2009 19:38

That hussy hully and her hordes

Sorry Princess. I was lead to believe you enjoyed it.

PrincessFiorimonde · 16/12/2009 20:46

Dear Pagwatch! An ally at last in this dark forsaken place infested by Hully and her 'hordes' of gibbons, ghosts and common barmaids. And now the threat of revolutionary 'citizens'...

Release me from my bonds and we will flee this cursed spot!

(Well - you can flee. I daresay I shall limp.)

HowTheGibbonStoleChristmas · 16/12/2009 20:59

Oh how I have missed you all and alas! I cannot stay long

I shall return tomorrow and visit with you all, 'tis my desire to do so now but I must take my leave.

Darling Pag I take great comfort in knowing I was not forgotten.

I do hope Hully that you are not too distressed in the absence of Mr Rochester.

Minty and Jamie look to the light to guide you to goodness!

And who was the quick tongued visitor in the buckles?

TisTheSeasonToBeHully · 17/12/2009 09:12

Oh what a torrid night I have passed. I have tossed and turned upon my couch, my pillow soaked with tears at my betrayal. But I have found fortitude and am now quite reconciled to the loss of Mr Rochester. Indeed, that raven haired heaving-bosomed tavern-keeping pirate-slut is welcome to him. Let her constantly pick him up and right the furniture when he stumbles. Hah!

I almost feel a little charity towards her black and blue trussed up form. Perhaps to celebrate my new found freedom I should liberate her and trust to the healing powers of these halls to help her lightwards. (Especially since Father Brown seems to have disappeared, I am a little reluctant to perform the sacrifice myself - and Miss Minty doesn't want her).

Hark! What soft rustling noise was that?
Why! Tis a missive upon the mat. Who can have sent it? Oh! Tis from dear Great Aunt Bennett, the regiment are coming to town and among the devastatingly hansome, terribly rich and all round good egg Captain Darcy Casuabon-Henchard!

Oh he paid me such attentions in the summer as could leave no doubt as to his intentions. I do hope my sprigged muslin is clean for she says he will call this very afternoon!

But I have released the Princessa too soon! Oh me! I fear she will work her wiles upon him! And what of the others? How jealous they will be. I hope he may bring some other fine soldiers with him to call their sentiments from his fine manly and noble countenance.

And now I must away to iron my hair.

TisTheSeasonToBeHully · 17/12/2009 09:13

I wonder if dear Miss Minty caught up with the strangely buckled one?

MintyCandyCane · 17/12/2009 10:32

A ha Minty sweeps though door with new body and gorgeous pair of ostentatious buckles.

HowTheGibbonStoleChristmas · 17/12/2009 13:44

Captain Darcy Casuabon-Henchard you say? Oh I have come over all unnecessary

ooohhh minty darling welcome back to the land of the living! oohhhh I do so like your shoes!

TisTheSeasonToBeHully · 17/12/2009 14:31

Ladies! Ladies, I hear there is a most charming entertainment in the town this afternoon. I believe there is to be squirrel baiting and fish on a stick and even wig fashioning!

Why don't you all take the carriage and hie thee to the revels?

HowTheGibbonStoleChristmas · 17/12/2009 15:14

Oh I shall make my way there!

TisTheSeasonToBeHully · 17/12/2009 15:16

Yes, dear Gibbon! And make haste, gather up the others and off you all go.

TisTheSeasonToBeHully · 17/12/2009 16:20

Oh! Do I hear the door bell's melodious chime?

MintyCandyCane · 17/12/2009 17:21

Off I go in my new shiney shoes to town to find a fish on a stick ooooohhh yummy. I could do with a new wig.

HowTheGibbonStoleChristmas · 17/12/2009 17:23

Hoooooooold on a moment dear Hully

Are you not coming too?

TisTheSeasonToBeHully · 17/12/2009 17:26

Oh, Gibbon dear, I expect a caller directly. Tis the only the horribly dull vicar coming to discuss new matting for the church porch. I wouldn't wish to keep you from the festive jollities.

Quick, Miss Minty sets forth betimes.

MintyCandyCane · 17/12/2009 17:27

Oh yes do dear Hully [claps hands and jumps in excitment]
do come with us

TisTheSeasonToBeHully · 17/12/2009 17:30

How sweet you all are! But I fear I cannot disappoint Reverend Clap, he so looks forward to discussing the matting. Please, do set off without me.

MrRochesterRidesAgain · 17/12/2009 17:30

Infernal God! (Or some other manly wording.) Here I am home and what is this to greet me?

Can a man not spend a night or two with a buxom wench friends, in a lively whorehouse hostelry?

Who are all these women? Where is my dinner?

MintyCandyCane · 17/12/2009 17:32

[swoon]

TisTheSeasonToBeHully · 17/12/2009 17:33

What fresh hell is this? Who comes stumbling and tripping into these halls? Surely it cannot be the errant Mr Rochester?

Footman, bring me an axe!

HowTheGibbonStoleChristmas · 17/12/2009 17:40

Oh Mr Rochester

Dear Hully was so worried for you and her reputation of course. You sir, are a cad and a fiend for upsetting her so, but goodness, you have manly arms [wistful]

TisTheSeasonToBeHully · 17/12/2009 18:06

Gibbon darling, why not take dear Mr Rochester to town with you and ply him with fish on sticks and barley wine? Mayhap you will grow close and unexpected.
