AIBU to be annoyed when I make a really good point on a thread

and then it's ignored, and either I have to repeat it, or then someone else comes and makes exactly the same point and everyone goes "oh yes, that's quite clever" "what a good and inciteful point" and so on. Maybe I should just type in caps?
So, AIBU?

I see that not such dear Minty is no longer titling herself Ghost...what hideous form has she assumed? Who can we trust? I fear all is in terrible disarray...

MintyCandyCane · 15/12/2009 21:43

[fanjo]

Why isn't there a hat on it ?

MintyCandyCane · 15/12/2009 21:45

I am no longer a ghost - I am risen again in the bodies of my poor victims. he he - have been reveling a bit myself so am more insane than ever.

[finggrin]

no that doesn't work either.

TisTheSeasonToBeHully · 15/12/2009 21:49

(I very much like finggrin - is it something that ladies who like other ladies go in for?)

Minty! Darling! I believe you wish to come back to the light. MMay I embrace you in the spirit of reconciliation, forgiveness and woo?

MintyCandyCane · 15/12/2009 21:56

What hope is there dear Hully, I have no body of my own

TisTheSeasonToBeHully · 15/12/2009 21:58

We will find you a body, darling Minty! But tomorrow, for now I must collapse upon my couch before I go too far and upset too many others who pontificate upon these boards.

Mwah mwah

MintyCandyCane · 15/12/2009 22:02

Mwah Mwah Hully darling I am off for more reveling so must away myself [I think I see a light]

TisTheSeasonToBeHully · 16/12/2009 08:33

I have had a troubling vision in my slumbers, and yet I think I might see a way forward.

Yes, I think that if we sacrifice the evil sorceress, we can rid the hall of amlevolence and we can then give her admittedly beautiful body (the malformed foot aside) to darling Miss Minty!! Tis a perfect solution. I hope the others will agree.

I am much saddened today by the absconding of Mr Rochester, I had devoted so much time, love and dancing to him and he repays me by seeking out those denizens with large befrilled frontage that do inhabit the hostelry. Ah me.

PrincessFiorimonde · 16/12/2009 11:15

Gulp.

MintyCandyCane · 16/12/2009 11:17

CAn I have Mr Rochesters body instead ? If I can find it.

TisTheSeasonToBeHully · 16/12/2009 11:23

Well there is the teensy difficulty of his being neither evil nor dead, even though he has gone awry. Do you not feel this might provoke a scuple or two dear Minty?

MintyCandyCane · 16/12/2009 11:29

I am sure I can sort out the deadness issue, it is cold outside, he might find himself waylaid on the moor.

TisTheSeasonToBeHully · 16/12/2009 11:41

But Minty dear, he said he would never come home again. He said he was going to make his home with that raven haired temptress that runs the hostelry. I fear he will not venture upon the moor.

Wouldn't you rather be a beautiful Princessa (with a horrid foot)?

MintyCandyCane · 16/12/2009 11:46

don't want a horrid foot - I shall sulk - or scream and by the way I want a biscuit - NOW

PrincessFiorimonde · 16/12/2009 12:42

You think I wanted a horrid foot either, Minty?

Madame Hully, you will not see Mr R again!

Jamieandhismagictorch · 16/12/2009 12:56

"raven-haired temptress" :

You called ? (not really)

TisTheSeasonToBeHully · 16/12/2009 14:17

Aha! the thick plottens - so that's where you were Jamie! Running that den of filth, designed to slake men's darkest lusts, lurer of poor innocent blind Mr Rochester!

I should have recognised you, but how different you look with your face unpainted and your hair in that severe bun. And now I wonder about the welts. Were they indeed from scourging? Or are they the twisted tracks of sharp, tormented nails..?

Who can be trusted. Oh woe woe is upon this hall. And where the devil is Father Brown?

Hush you foul sorceress. The foot is but the only part the witch's spell missed. Were we to remove the spell (as we will if Father Brown ever returns) all of you would revert to its malformed and horrid original.

Dear Miss Minty, I do feel you are being a tad ungrateful to cavil at the offer of the Princessa's body because of a teeny little foot issue.

Jamieandhismagictorch · 16/12/2009 14:30

It's the spectacles that will have fooled you.

CitizenPrecious · 16/12/2009 14:54

Well, well, well.

I was alerted to this thread earlier and,as is my duty, came over here to inspect it.

Just as I suspected and feared- it is full of degenerate aristocratic types practicing all kinds of dark, foul deeds.

you have not heard the last of me

BANG

TisTheSeasonToBeHully · 16/12/2009 14:56

Well! I know not of what she speaks. What a rude and abrupt young woman. And did you see her ostentatious buckles?

Miss Minty! Would you like her? She can't have got far.

Jamieandhismagictorch · 16/12/2009 15:01

Ooooo. Get 'er

Jamieandhismagictorch · 16/12/2009 15:03

Adieu to one and all ! I must away to tend to the querulous offspring.
