and then it's ignored, and either I have to repeat it, or then someone else comes and makes exactly the same point and everyone goes "oh yes, that's quite clever" "what a good and inciteful point" and so on. Maybe I should just type in caps?
So, AIBU?

Ahoy there. Permission to come aboard?

pagwatch · 07/12/2009 16:22

Edgar you were kind enough to use your tenner to buy me some chocolates. So kind of you

om nyom nyom.

Jamieandhismagictorch · 07/12/2009 16:25

pag you didn't say hello to me, so I didn't say hello to you. ner ner ner ner ner

Hello pag I am exceptionally clever and empathic.

Please give me light relief as I have had a dog of a day

CheerfulYank · 07/12/2009 16:31

Not sure what time it is there, Jamie. Too early to break out the booze? (Passes laaarrrge glass in sympathy for your day)

Jamieandhismagictorch · 07/12/2009 16:36

Oh thankyou Yank. It's 4.30pm, deffo late enough, and I would, but I've got to drive three kids to Cubs.

I am sad because I have realised that some people in my son's class are little shits, and it's just the start of a life filled with shit people (major downer)

What time is it where you are ?

Hullygully · 07/12/2009 16:37

Light relief, madame? That's a bit saucy.

whatever is going on here.

Hi Paggy. Hi Cheerful (keep those s'moors away). Where's tether and gibbon?

Why such a bad day Jamie?

do leg excercises.

Hullygully · 07/12/2009 16:39

And Edgar?

tethersend · 07/12/2009 16:41

Still here...

Not dead...just very badly injured

CheerfulYank · 07/12/2009 16:42

It's 10:40 a.m.

Too early for booze. Or anything really as I am at work. Bluck. It snowed here and it's freezing and I was up until the wee sma's making Christmas cards and now I want to go home and put on a DVD for DS and cuddle up with my quilt and a cup of cocoa. (stomps and pouts.)

Cripes I'm in a bad mood. Give my pigtails a tug, Hully, and see if that improves things.

Hi Pag!

tethersend · 07/12/2009 16:42

well, not that badly

Hullygully · 07/12/2009 16:43

good lord.

I have to repeat it

good lord.

CheerfulYank · 07/12/2009 16:43

Hey Edgar. And now I have to go. Break's over. Mayhaps I will stumble, get injured, and be sent home. I will try to look on the bright side.

tethersend · 07/12/2009 16:43

10.40 am too early for booze?

It depends which day you approach it from... It could be construed as a late nightcap.

Hullygully · 07/12/2009 16:44

Hey Cheerful, consider yourself yanked.

Whereabouts are you? (if you haven't gone)

Hullygully · 07/12/2009 16:45

Or a little kickstart for the day. JG Ballard had a little nip every morning to get him into writing land once he'd sent the dc to school so it has form.

tethersend · 07/12/2009 16:50

Waiting til the dcs are at school shows restraint...

pagwatch · 07/12/2009 16:52

hello girls and boys

hey Jamie sorry you are having a dog. I am not good at light relief but is this tempting at all?

Jamieandhismagictorch · 07/12/2009 16:52

hully yanking gives relief, I often find.

And look what a cheerful fella JG Ballard is ... (is he, in fact, dead ?)

Jamieandhismagictorch · 07/12/2009 16:54

Thankyou pag. I have a small horn now

Hullygully · 07/12/2009 16:56

He is a bit dead. But great ideas notwithstanding.

tethersend · 07/12/2009 16:56
Hullygully · 07/12/2009 16:57

Wh'appened with the evil classmates?

tethersend · 07/12/2009 16:57

was at Jamie's link, not the death of JG Ballard...

tethersend · 07/12/2009 17:00

I need some help to think of an Xmas name.

Any ideas?

Jamieandhismagictorch · 07/12/2009 17:06

hully I am feeling slightly guilty at calling a child a little shit, because who knows what the extenuating circs are, but for some time, DS1 has been complaining about being teased by a boy in his class (he is 9), and on school trip today it was confirmed in front of my very eyes and ears that this boy is, in fact Spawn of Satan a bit of a bully. And DSs best friend is kinda going along with it. Thanks for asking

tethersend - will think about it ...
