OP posts:
loobyloo1234 · 01/01/2017 08:47

My Dad still calls me 'Lucy' ... as in Lucy Locket Confused I'm in my 30's Grin

dementedma · 01/01/2017 08:53

I still call DD 23 chick pea.
My mother has different names for all the grandchildren...Treasure, flower, pest, cake brain etc.
We made her a video from her 80th with all the grandkids doing messages and had to laugh at my 22 year old nephew, all 6 foot 2 of him with a growly voice and massive red beard saying into the camera" Hi, Grandma, this is your flower...."

ShowMePotatoSalad · 01/01/2017 09:00

A friend of mine calls me sausage. And another calls me chicken. I never considered that that might actually be a bad thing

Howyoualldoworkme · 01/01/2017 09:00

I'm 60. My father calls me Pud. Always has and always will. And hopefully will do it for a good few years to come Smile

CantChoose · 01/01/2017 09:08

This is a nice zombie thread.
I'm another 'fanny anne'. And my uncle calls me 'cabbage'.
My FIL calls my MIL 'flop-bott' which I think is bullying dressed up as affection... (he has form).

user1477462353 · 01/01/2017 09:13

I call my own children "Trou de balle" 😂

QODRestYeMerryGentlemen · 01/01/2017 09:16

Tug and Maggot 👌🏼
That's what my dad calls me 😂

Crispyturtle · 01/01/2017 09:22

My dad calls me 'chub' and my mum calls me 'stutes'. I am not mad about Chub but it's said with affection so I let him off Smile

My DD is bean or sausage (saus for short). Am currently pregnant and trying to decide on nickname for this one. Haven't even picked its actual name yet Grin. Some great inspiration on this thread!

ThunderR0ad78 · 01/01/2017 09:28

I'm 38 and still my dad calls me "chocolate button eyes" - always has. If talking about me he will literally refer to me as "my little chocolate button eyes has two kids now"

If he's talking to me he will say "choc" Smile

OhMrBadger · 01/01/2017 09:44

Mostly I'm just referred to by a mash-up of mine and my siblings names! I'm pretty certain pet names are just an excuse to never remember your DCs actual names!! Grin

I call mine McTavish 1 or 2 depending on which one I'm talking to. I'm forever getting their names muddled up.

SarfEast1cated · 01/01/2017 09:57

I was Fanny-Anne and my brother firstname-Gubbins, to my grandad I was always Daisy (not my name) and my brother was John-Willy.
I love nicknames like this.

TheMortificadosDragon · 01/01/2017 10:15

I wonder if the OP is still getting called sausage at 52? Grin

My DD was safe from this nickname as it already belonged to the dog when she was born ande then the current one. Yes, dachshunds, calling any other sort of dog 'sausage' would be weird.

WicksEnd · 01/01/2017 10:20

ZOMBIE. ZOMBIE. ZOMBIE
Why the fuck someone actually searched for a thread with 'called me sausage' in it, found one that's from 2009 and revived it? Why?

Thornrose · 01/01/2017 10:22

Where's the OP gone? 7 years for an update is a bit much. Grin

SarfEast1cated · 01/01/2017 10:31

Is the fact its a zombie thread a problem? I think it's nice.

MrsMattBomer · 01/01/2017 10:42

My dad calls me Moo. Always has, always will. Neither of us can remember how it started but we like it. I always call him Neckle because I couldn't pronounce his full name (Nicholas) when I was little.

DS1 is called Strawb by me because when he was little he got a rash and DS2 said he looked like a Strawberry. DS2 gets called Bean because he's always injuring himself like Mr Bean.

HOHOHOvariesBeforeBrovaries · 01/01/2017 10:45

YABU. DD is sausage or chicken and she shall continue to be so for the rest of time Grin

In the same vein, my dad has called me moomin or moomintroll since I was a baby, and I think that's now my name forever.

lougle · 01/01/2017 10:45

I'm called 'wally-wops' or 'wally'. I don't mind it.

TheMortificadosDragon · 01/01/2017 10:46

Some zombie threads are idiotic (eg someone posting for advice on a very specific time-dependent issue) but I don't see why anyone would bother to object to one like this?
I want to know if Tootles got his t-shirt! Grin

VeryBitchyRestingFace · 01/01/2017 10:47

I was (and still am) occasionally 'Teeny Bash' and 'Baw Jaws' (Scottish) by parents.

My childhood dog was also affectionately known as 'Baw Jaws'. Xmas Confused

VeryBitchyRestingFace · 01/01/2017 10:48

This is a nice Zombie thread. Smile

willowpatterned · 01/01/2017 11:04

Yabu. My ddad still calls me Sausage Drop, and my dc are my little sausages and always will be.

NoFucksImAQueen · 01/01/2017 11:35

Aw ds2 is sauasage. Ds1 was treefrog and DD is dot

MistyMinge · 01/01/2017 11:39

YABU it's your dad, he's allowed to call you sausage. I think it's rather lovely and affectionate.

4yr old DS is sausage

idontlikealdi · 01/01/2017 11:40

Yabu.

My kids are sausage pants.
