Fortunately, turns out that Looks can't kill...

VengefulKitty · 24/11/2009 22:27

OK. Try this.

OP = Comfort
Comforts OP = Bob
Friend = Paul
Pauls DP = Sally
Other couple in scenario = Doris and Dave.

Here goes.

Doris and Paul are having a drink together one night. Dave finds them and falls out with Paul.

Paul tells Bob. Bob tells Comfort. Comfort tells Sally that Doris and Dave won't go on a night out because Doris and Paul were caught together when no one else knew.

Sally goes Ape. Comfort gets the blame...

comfortandlenor - am I right?

VengefulKitty · 24/11/2009 22:28

Comfort's OP?! Comfort's DP that should read!

comfortandlenor · 24/11/2009 22:28

Groung hogs you are right so sorry everyone and yes they are all late 30 s although you would not believe it.
And yes im thinking of leaving because he took his friend side and id rather let them get on with it and find a man with a backbone instead of him standing by a friend who lies and blames everyone else.

NOooo, think I've got it...

crankytwanky · 24/11/2009 22:32

I haven't laughed so much for ages!

OK, I think I get the gist.

You let slip about a gentleman's pecadilloes with a married woman.
Gentleman's wife now narked, as she found out.
Everyone blaming you for letting slip and causing Jeremy Vile-style slanging match.

Am I close?

If so, tell them to grow up! If the drinks were innocent, what's the problem with mentioning it?

You don't actualy have to be friends with DP's BF, but he should make a wee show of sticking up for you, IME.

AnyFucker · 24/11/2009 22:33

I have it !

except I've forgotten it again, sorry

I don't like the sound of this Doris and Paul, anyway

I think they should be put in the stocks and have rotten tomatoes thrown at them

CowWatcher · 24/11/2009 22:33

hilarious. This reminds me of the playground Oh & Vicki Pollard...

OP & Bob have fallen out. They have fallen out because Bob's mate, Paul lied about going out. Basically Paul told Bob and not his girlfriend (sally)

Another couple Doris and Dave were due to come out, but you said to Sally that they weren't because of the falling out.

She (Sally) knew nothing of the evenong out, and nothing of the falling out, because of the evening out....

So now cos you told Sally, everyone is on at you for telling her, when you thought she already knew about Paul going out??

Is THAT it????

VengefulKitty · 24/11/2009 22:34
Grin
CowWatcher · 24/11/2009 22:34

I have some tomatoes rotting in the bottom of the fridge...

catinthehat2 · 24/11/2009 22:35

Would just like to make it clear that I am not sitting on anyone's Ipod.

FGS.

groundhogs · 24/11/2009 22:35

Sorry, where is the tryst with a married woman? I totally have not seen that???

Can someone please show me that?

comfortandlenor · 24/11/2009 22:35

It is halfway down page 2 =

"he was with a my real close friend of mines wife so thats why they fell out becuase the hubby found them together drinking."

comfort have a LARGE glass

groundhogs · 24/11/2009 22:37

Did i get it? really? jeez, even i don't know how i got there...

still lost on the married woman.

AnyFucker · 24/11/2009 22:38

comfort, I think you should all get on with your homework

groundhogs · 24/11/2009 22:38

ahh, scrolls back....

crankytwanky · 24/11/2009 22:39

Groundhogs

"the hubby found them together drinking"
At 21.19 I think.

I can only assume this is the cause of the beef.

VengefulKitty · 24/11/2009 22:40

OK. I have been here before.

Don't leave DP over this alone. He did rush out to kiss his mate's arse, but he may view it that his relationship with you is safe, whereas his friendship with Paul (sorry, I have to go back to the names I gave or I'll get lost) may not survive the revelation.

If you were not told not to say anything, and you thought she knew, and it was all innocent, why shouldn't you have said something??

Bob will come round, and he will support you (or should) as soon as he knows things are OK with Paul. You never know, he may be pacifying Paul while sticking up for you at the same time.

Just hold your head high and ride it out.

If it was your best mate, would you run to make sure she was OK first or stick around with Bob and ignore her?

comfortandlenor · 24/11/2009 22:45

Groundhog you are making me laugh no he was out with another women having drinks her husband found them and went mad hence why they are not coming out and my other friends are not either im the bad witch because i said the men had fallen out
to the girlfriends over a misunderstanding my partners friend said i was being vindictative i said he shoudnt fucking lie then and they are all as bad as one another as what has my partner lied about then , i have been here before with this friend of his,

OP posts:
catinthehat2 · 24/11/2009 22:46

Vindictative.

I like that word, and I shall be using it in future.

Heated · 24/11/2009 22:46

You've told dp's bm's gf that her bf was out drinking with another woman. Dp's now fallen out with you for ratting on his bm. You have been drinking, want to leave him and are thinking spray-painting 'dp covers bm's arse' upside-down on the nearest bridge.

Do I win a prize?

comfortandlenor · 24/11/2009 22:47

Thank you Vengeful kitty I would pacify my friend first but im still sleeping in another room. xx
